Medical Informatics Project I

Objective
Bring the student closer to the reality of medical informatics in the country and
allow them to get to know firsthand the elements that make it up.
Allow students to discover the close relationship between ICTs and the
medical practice.
•Achieve that students identify and know the needs that
hospitals need to have ICTs to provide good service.

Purpose

The project consists of conducting research at some center


hospital with the purpose of discovering its computer infrastructure, but about
everything, to understand the relationship between that infrastructure and the services
clinical services provided. On the other hand, the aim is to find out the degree and level at which the
Medical personnel uses computer tools as support for their work.
as a source of professional information. The goal is to achieve an overall view
of the diffusion of ICTs among medical personnel and the level of integration with the
clinical service. In summary, it is desired to discover to what extent ICTs contribute to
to provide better healthcare service in a hospital and how it supports
work of the doctors in particular.

Deadlines

The project will be delivered on three dates with grading.

First qualified draft (25%) from September 3 to September 8


Second graded draft (25%) from October 8 to 10
Finished project and exhibition (50%) from November 12 to 14

Characteristics of internal communication: email.
