It has a defined beginning and end, specific objectives, and is constrained by factors such as
time, cost, and resources. Projects are different from regular operations because they are
not routine and aim to achieve a particular goal within a set timeframe.
Example of a Project :-
This project involves creating a mobile banking app for a financial institution. The app allows
users to perform tasks such as viewing account balances, transferring funds, paying bills, and
managing personal financial information through their smartphones. The objective is to
improve customer convenience and expand the bank’s digital presence.
The project team includes software developers, UI/UX designers, testers, and cybersecurity
experts. It follows Agile methodology to enable iterative development and frequent user
feedback. The project begins with planning and requirement gathering, followed by design,
coding, testing, and deployment.
Development of a Mobile Banking Application :-
This project focuses on the development of a mobile banking application for a national-level
bank to provide its customers with convenient and secure access to financial services. The
goal of the project is to create a user-friendly mobile app that supports real-time
transactions such as balance checks, fund transfers, bill payments, and loan EMI payments.
Additional features include biometric login, notification alerts, and 24/7 chatbot support.
The project is scheduled to be completed within six months and is managed using the Agile
methodology, which enables flexibility, iterative progress, and continuous feedback from
stakeholders. The project team includes roles such as the Project Manager, Scrum Master,
Backend and Frontend Developers, UI/UX Designers, Quality Assurance Testers, and a
Cybersecurity Analyst to ensure the app is safe from vulnerabilities.
The project phases include:
 Initiation: Gathering initial requirements and approvals from bank leadership.
 Planning: Creating a roadmap, setting timelines, assigning responsibilities, and
defining deliverables.
 Execution: Developing the app in sprints with regular testing and integration.
 Monitoring: Tracking progress, managing risks, and ensuring quality standards.
 Closure: Deploying the app on app stores, handing over documentation, and
conducting post-launch evaluation.
Once the application is deployed and feedback is gathered from early users, the project
is officially closed. Ongoing maintenance is handed over to the IT operations team.
