Methodological phase:
Research methodology and
data collection

This phase involves choosing the
research proposal / protocol of
the investigation based on the objective
from the study, define the population and
the study sample, describe the
collection and analysis methods
data.

The student is asked to describe in detail how he will
conduct the survey:
1. The research proposal based on the purpose of
the investigation,
2. The method or approach adopted,
3. Sampling techniques:
describe the characteristics and the variables
sociodemographic characteristics of the subjects to be surveyed;
define the sample size (choice of the population,
the inclusion and exclusion criteria

4. The most appropriate tools and instruments
to conduct the investigation, not forgetting to mention
the instrument used (Observation grid or
questionnaire ...).
5. The period and location of the investigation
6. The ethical considerations to be respected in order to conduct
well the investigation and to preserve the rights of
participants in the survey.
7- Interpret and analyze the data: (specifying
the software used to process the results)

The student must
specify the type of
the study conducted:

Quantitative study
Containing the descriptive research,
correlational and experimental.
Quantitative analysis aims to determine and to
verify the correlating link, more specifically, the
causal link between phenomena through
numerous statistical data. It is a
objective analysis during which the researchers
use different statistical grids to
illustrate and establish the law or the rule between
facts.

Qualitative study
This type of research aims to examine
meanings and the search for meaning.
Qualitative analysis has other
features. Its goal is to
understanding phenomena in its
precise contours. She tries to explain a
certain behavior considering the
value system of a social group or a
social community.
