2. FOUNDATION

Many of the action initiatives in companies are developed through projects that seek to achieve the
objectives set in time and with a rational use of resources. In the face of this challenge, project management
will ensure optimal results and efficiency in projects, taking into account quality standards
international level. This course will contribute to specialized training for professional futures of
various engineering specialties and is transversal to the professional competencies acquired in each
program.

3. SUMMARY

It is a theoretical-practical course that seeks to instill in the student the ability to plan, coordinate, direct and
control the implementation of projects, acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge corresponding to the
PMBOK Guide, designed by the Project Management Institute (PMI). The student will be able
to manage
to
adequately the tools and techniques that allow him to develop comprehensive management activities
projects and respond to the PMI code of ethics as a project manager. Throughout the course, the student
develop the practical part starting from a project idea with the formal scope definition through a
Project Charter and the development of its Work Breakdown Structure.
(EDT), a partir de la cual se definen las actividades y se trabaja la triple restricción de costo, tiempo y alcance.

4. GENERAL LEARNING ACHIEVEMENT

At the end of the course, the student manages the key aspects to consider for the success of projects.
using the main tools and techniques of PMBOK management.

This course has been designed in a virtual format, which offers the student the possibility to learn while having
taking into account their specific needs and styles, without affecting their family or work dynamics. For Hello, the
students will find the course study materials organized on the LMS Canvas platform by
weeks, among them: videos, audios, readings, infographics, among others. You will also find activities in the
that the student will be able to participate in forums, evaluaciones, tareas virtual y resolution of different
exercises and cases that will allow you to practice and verify the learnings of the topics.

In order to understand the organization and sequence of the study materials and participation activities,
It is crucial to review the schedule where the progress and evaluation dates are presented in detail.
On the other hand, the student will have a permanent consultation forum in the course to be able to interact with their
teacher regarding any questions you may have about the materials or activities.

Regarding the methodological strategies, this course uses an active and participative methodology that
promotes self-learning, student autonomy, and individual work reflected in problem solving
of cases present in the activities during the course.

Finally, throughout the course, the student will have the virtual support of their teacher, who
will be available to answer questions about the course contents, materials, or activities within a period
no more than 24 hours if it is Monday to Friday or 48 hours if it is Saturday or Sunday. The teacher will also provide
feedback on the development of activities so that students can identify the aspects
positives and areas for improvement; and will be in constant communication through various means such as announcements, forums and
emails to encourage greater participation of students.
