INTERVIEW GUIDE

Before conducting any interview, it is necessary


select
the theme;
the objectives of the interview;
the person to be interviewed.

To facilitate the conduct of the interview, a script should be created that


respeite alguns procedimentos:

develop questions according to the theme, the objectives of


interview, the expectations of the interviewer and of potential
readers/listeners;

build varied questions (more open - What do you think of…? ; or


but closed - Likes to...?), avoiding influencing the answers and
looking for alternatives for possible deviations from the topic;

tailor the questions to the interviewee (personality, age level,


socio-cultural level…) and to the situation (time and place);

select a clear, accessible, and rigorous vocabulary;

establish the number of questions and proceed with their ordering.

When typing the text cleanly, it is important to keep in mind:

the punctuation;
the spelling;
the graphic presentation.

Any interview should follow a logical scheme which is,


usually, the following:

Introduction - description of the interviewed character(s), indication of the


place and reason for the interview.

Questionnaire - (dialogue) questions according to the interview theme


(and answers given by the interviewee).

Conclusion - interviewer's opinion about the work or about the


interviewee's personality; gratitude.
