COMMUNITY PROJECT PROPOSAL
1. Project Title
Operation cleanliness: Make the westes into its proper place “Oplan kapet bisig tungo sa
kalinisan sa barangay”
2. Background and Rationale
Plastic pollution, a serious concern for the Philippines, is one of the country’s environmental
problem which suffers from unsustainable waste usage due to an ineffective recycling
system. In order to reduce the amount of waste, it is best to implement the waste
management through 3R’s. Operation Cleanliness: Make wastes into its proper place “Oplan
Kapit Bisig tungo sa Kalinisan ng Baranggay” project provide trash bins and these will be
labeled as Biodegradable, Non-biodegradable, and Recyclable and categorize them base of
what wastes it is belong. Aside from that, strategies on making the wastes to make it into
usable should be taught in barangay such as our plans to be implemented.
The knowledge to be addressed by the project will enhanced the environment safety,
community health, and also the cost after the project have done. Promoting and
constructing different trash bins will help community to lessen the number of waste that is
not properly segrigate and could be produced different diseases and/or infectious diseases
that be spread and contribute pollution in air and etc. This is important due to extreme waste
problem that affect our environment.
The significant of this project is to established the waste trash bins area’s in different Zone
using recyclable materials such as sacks, containers/drums, and etc. This will be helped to
make more beautiful and cleaned barangay especially in the community of Bigajo Sur. This
will reduce the waste in environment also we helped become more resilient to prevent
diseases especially the Barangay has infants, senior citizens, pregnant and bedridden that
can be harmed of the diseases.
3. Project Objective
The objective of this project is include:
A. To maintain the cleanliness of the place;
B. To introduce strategies to make wastes into more usable;
C. To inform how to reduce wastes; and
D. To achieve waste reduction
4. Project Description
✓ Needs Assessment: Conducting an initial survey to identify the most critical areas
needing attention.
✓ Cleanup Drives: Organizing volunteer events for trash collection, sweeping, minor
repairs (e.g., painting over vandalism), and grass cutting.
✓ Waste Management Infrastructure: Collaborating with local authorities to ensure
proper waste disposal and potentially provide additional trash bins in strategic
locations.
✓ Educational Workshops: Hosting sessions on proper waste segregation, recycling
methods, and the environmental impact of littering.
✓ Beautification Efforts: Utilizing recycled materials for decoration and potentially
engaging in small-scale planting/landscaping to enhance the visual appeal of the
area.

The project will used different approach to developed for community livelihood
improvement, as the project disseminate it will help the community to have better
management of the waste. It will also practice the sanitation procedure that will
enhance of our comnunity to be cleaned and free from different infectious disease.
The target of the project are the places from Zone 1A to 3C, covered court, school, and
other facilities with in the vicinity of the Baranggay Bigajo Sur. In partnership with
Municipality of Libmanan we will know when they were collect the waste.
The following are the proposed activities to be conducted or to be undertaken to meet
the proponent’s objective, goal and mission:
A. Preparation
The proponents will gather and prepare the materials that will be used such as the trash
bins and other sample strategies.
B. Discussion
The proponent will conduct a short discussion/seminar and workshop to the residents
of the barangay bigajo sur introducing the project and how it works. Discussing also
about waste management including strategies on making wastes into usable.
C. Action
Starting to put trash bins and lebel them accordingly. After that asking everyone to
gather in baranggay court of bigajo sur to teach all strategies about the wastes.
