CHAPTER III: VALUES OF THE INTERNSHIP

SECTION 1: Benefits and advantages of the Internship

This internship has brought us benefits in terms of academic, professional, and social aspects.

On an academic level:

The internship allowed us to apply some of our theoretical courses such as:
Techno car, Maintenance of electronic and automotive electrical systems, Diagnostic of
breakdowns, maintenance of mechanical and hydraulic connections, maintenance of engines
internal combustion, and organization and methods of maintenance. It also allowed us
to understand the causes of certain breakdowns based on the manifestations of the vehicle.

On a professional level
We learned to handle pressure because the working conditions were not so easy.
but the good atmosphere of the garage allowed us to face it.

On the social level, we learned to work as a team, to be

In permanent contact with vehicle users. We have also learned to adapt well.
act as a maintenance agent.

CHAPTER IV: CRITICAL APPROACH

In this section, we are to highlight the difficulties encountered during

the internship and the shortcomings on one hand and to propose solutions that could contribute to
the improvement of the functioning of the garage on the other hand.

SECTION 1 : CRITIQUES

During the time we spent at the GARAGE, despite the dedication of the
staff in the exercise of their function, we were able to identify insufficiencies notably:

Poor management and organization of the spare parts store;

The slowness in the delivery of spare parts;
Insufficient troubleshooting tools;
Lack of modern diagnostic equipment;
The actual non-distribution of tasks among the mechanics.

SECTION 2: SUGGESTIONS

Our suggestions concern:

The improvement of the quality of spare parts through the review of the contract with
several suppliers
The equipment of the diagnostic device workshops, tools, and manuals
of uses;
Build a drainage pit to facilitate engine draining;
Improvement of the network at the general store level in order to remedy the slowness in
the handling of spare parts;
The organization of work and the actual distribution of tasks among mechanics;
The reorganization of the warehouse staff who do not master the spare parts and
their location in the store.
The establishment of a drainage force to facilitate the work

GENERAL CONCLUSION
Moreover, it must be noted that the practical internship contributes significantly
undeniable to the professional training of the young technician for his future task, because at the end
during these four weeks of internship, we had the opportunity to touch upon the realities of the profession,
to fill some of our gaps and to perfect our professional training, since
There is a considerable gap between theory and practice.

Despite some difficulties faced and reported in this report, it is important to

note that the internship went smoothly without major incidents.
We will make good use of the skills and techniques acquired during this practical internship.
in the coming years to improve the quality of maintenance and thus foster growth
performance of professional technique in our companies.

Proper task distribution at Rogero Garage is critical for operational efficiency as it ensures that each technician is assigned tasks according to their expertise, which optimizes time management and resource allocation . By structuring task assignments clearly, the garage can prevent task overlap and ensure that all areas of vehicle maintenance and repair are covered, thus improving overall service quality .

During the internship, the intern engaged in tasks such as replacement of brake pads, suspension linkages, and shock absorbers, engine disassembly, and gearboxes replacement . These tasks developed skills in mechanical troubleshooting, component replacement, understanding vehicle systems, and practical application of mechanical solutions, which are crucial for effective vehicle maintenance and repair .

Rogero Garage operates as a functional structure where each department is led by a chief, ensuring clear hierarchy and command . This structure facilitates organized operations by designating specific leaders for particular functions such as mechanics and electrical issues, which enhances operational efficiency by allowing specialized management of tasks and responsibilities, leading to better workflow and productivity .

Rogero Garage is specialized in the maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, offering services such as general mechanics, automotive electricity, and sheet metal work . These activities are essential for the business as they ensure that vehicles are properly maintained and repaired, which in turn fosters customer satisfaction and retention. Furthermore, by covering a broad range of services, the garage can address diverse customer needs, thereby increasing its market reach and operational efficiency .

The practical experiences at Rogero Garage helped bridge the gap between theory and practice by exposing the intern to real-world job requirements such as handling stress, teamwork, and direct application of theoretical knowledge like vehicle diagnostics and maintenance procedures . These hands-on experiences provided insights into professional standards and helped refine technical skills, thereby aligning theoretical learning with industry expectations .

The training environment at Rogero Garage contributes to social skill development by fostering teamwork and interaction with customers and colleagues. The intern learned to communicate effectively, coordinate with team members during vehicle maintenance, and adapt to various social scenarios in a professional setting . Such interactions are crucial in building interpersonal skills that are important for career success in technical fields .

Manual handling of spare parts at Rogero Garage often led to inefficiencies such as delays and errors in parts retrieval. To improve service efficiency, suggestions included better organization of the spare parts store, equipping the store with knowledgeable staff, and implementing systematic inventory management to quickly and accurately locate required parts, thus reducing service time and enhancing customer satisfaction .

The internship at Rogero Garage provided significant academic benefits by allowing the intern to apply theoretical knowledge such as automotive electrical systems, diagnostics, and maintenance methods in a real-world context. Professionally, the intern learned to manage pressure and improve team collaboration skills by working closely with vehicle users and adapting to workplace demands .

During the internship at Rogero Garage, criticisms included poor management of the spare parts store, slow delivery of parts, insufficient troubleshooting tools, and lack of modern diagnostic equipment. Suggestions for improvement involved reorganizing the warehouse staff, reviewing supplier contracts to improve spare parts quality, creating a drainage pit for engine draining, and better task distribution among mechanics .

The lack of modern diagnostic equipment at Rogero Garage led to inefficiencies in diagnosing vehicle problems accurately and promptly. To overcome these challenges, the garage suggested equipping workshops with diagnostic devices and tools to streamline repair processes and improve maintenance quality, ultimately enhancing the performance of their professional technical services .
