1 INTRODUCTION
This report was prepared with the aim of presenting the experience as an intern.
at Le Salis for the Supervised Internship meeting of the Fashion Design course,
Institute of Culture and Art (ICA), Federal University of Ceará (UFC). Through this article
the activities developed in the company with which the internship contract was signed will be reported.
This company is recognized in the clothing sector in the city of Fortaleza and is seeking its
expansion to other regions.
The technical advisor of the company, based in Fortaleza, is Ana Luisa. The advisor
followed the intern's work, contributing to the practical application of techniques
learned in a theoretical and simulated manner during university education. A
mentor/supervisor, as well as assist and accompany in the learning process and
development in the company also took on the responsibility of presenting and integrating the student into the
staff body as well as stipulating the daily working hours under the supervision of the board of directors
company.
For the development of the internship activities, as well as for the preparation of this
report, the chosen methodology was bibliographic and documentary research. In addition, the
field research was also an important resource used for learning, being very
it is important to correlate this information with the teachings experienced during the
Graduation.
It is still imperative to analyze that the student's focus is to expose how the learning in
graduation supports growth in the workplace, whose theme touches on
studied in the classroom. That said, it is noteworthy, through this report, that the practical implementation

2 BRIEF REFLECTIONS ON THE SEGMENT
Since the eighteenth century, dressing has been an act of representation of the Self; such practice transcends the
the primary function of clothing, which is protection, to define itself, as asserted by Jenkyns (2011),
as a form of social distinction, object of sexual attraction, ornamentation and other characteristics, the
what leads a man then, through clothing, from Stefani's perspective (2005), to acquire
meaning and belonging.
Consequently, in his book 'The Empire of the Ephemeral', Lipovetsky (2009) brings some
Arguments that justify that fashion has also become an object of consumption.
capitalist system and how the trends created, the beautiful, seduces society into the consumption of these
pieces. Therefore, when thinking of fashion as part of a system that has seasonal production it is
necessary research, studies, and knowledge that add value to the product so that it is
consumed generating satisfaction and profit.
Knowing then that, "fashion, currently, lives its apex in a society dominated
through ephemerality, being the ultimate symbol of renewal and the desire to consume new
products."(Stefani, 2005 p.9) and that people constantly consume more for differentiation and
attraction to what is beautiful, designing fashion products based on sustainable and social character,
Aesthetics require dedication and knowledge about the subject, understanding about brand and audience.
target, materials to be used and regionality.
It is therefore evident that the style segment that cares about its audience operates in
a constant way to satisfy your audience and profit from it. Aligned with this, it is feasible that the
learning in the Design - Fashion course contributes to the training of professionals qualified to
area, and the opportunity to get to know the job market up close is essential for the
formation of professional excellence.

3 IDENTIFICATION OF THE INTERNSHIP FIELD
This chapter is attributed to the identification of the organization of the internship field. It was done
the presentation of the company's history and the internship environment. The understanding of the Le brand

In 2011, Le SAlis was founded by partners Ticiana Machado and Débora Bandeira with the
objective of becoming a reference in women's clothing. From the perspective of CEO Débora
Bandeira, the brand, aims to make dreams come true, which goes beyond the idea of just dressing well. Since
2011, the showroom and the factory operate in the city of Fortaleza, Ceará. In a process of expansion, the
the brand is focused on wholesale and is present in various multi-brands in the Northeast and Southeast.
Le Salis has the mission of bringing to the modern woman's style the implementation of looks
contemporary and timeless full of essence and fashion information that accompanies you during the day
a day. The creative sector has a quarterly creation schedule, however with
monthly release of capsule collections, their composition carries around 50 references
monthly. The brand is composed beyond the creation by the production, marketing, and
Commercial.
The production of the breeding sector, to which the stage is intended, is composed of activities
such as: trend research conducted on the UseFashion platform, reference sites for fashion shows
in fashion and/or study of international brands; research on materials such as fabrics and trimmings
contacting suppliers, and monitoring production such as filling out
technical sheets, verification of pilot piece, color transfer tests of fabrics and production of

The internship for the position of Print Designer at Le Salis company started in November of
2020, working in the style sector as an assistant to the department manager Ana Luisa and
subsequently, stylist Maiara Pinho. The intern's daily routine involves assisting in research of
trends, filling out technical sheets, carrying out pre-costs of parts and monitoring
test for pilots, monitoring in shootings for adjustments of piece in model and exchange of
clothes, as well as touch-ups in ironing. During the creation process, it is the intern's duty

used; And afterwards, there is the filling out of the form in the AlphaInd system, which is a system
for industry in which, at Le Salis, it is used for various sectors. Therefore, the process of
filling in the system is prior to the test and post-production of the pilot piece, the registration is done of the
product with the appropriate reference created by production and name of the piece - created by the intern or
one of the stylists-, shortly after the inputs of that reference, and consequently, the sheet is created
financial, which carries the total value of inputs combined with labor that is analyzed, through
of predefined calculation, at the production time.
After this moment, there is the experimentation of the piece on the proof body, where it is performed by the
model maker, adjustments, or cancellations by the Creative Director and stylists, the intern can
analyze and point out any error or difference of the piece in relation to the idealized technical sheet
by the designer. It is worth noting that prior to the making of the piece, if there is in the composition of
final design color mixture, it is the intern's duty to conduct washing tests for analysis

An intern is needed at the moment of changing clothes to adjust the piece with clips and

Some undergraduate courses helped to develop daily activities such as
Construction of textile fabrics and fibers and thread, Project Methodology, Technical Drawing, and
fundamentals of design, and Fashion Production. Concepts about colors and shapes assist in
understanding of color mixing, as well as information on creation, fabrics, and durability
contribute to the understanding of each stage of creation.

The other responsibility to be considered is the preparation of the technical guide which is composed of
of photos, references, description, and composition of each piece to assist the seller at the time of
