Research Project Planning Guide
Research Project Planning Guide
ForRoberta de Sousa
It is a planning of the method used by a researcher who intends to generate certain
research. The research project defines the directions taken by the researcher containing the
study questions, a way to approach reality. Following goals avoids the
waste of time and reduces the high cost of research. The project will answer some
questions:
Theme - to find a theme within the researcher's domain. The researcher has to prove something in
theme. Being attentive to the possible possibilities of the subject. Considering the contributions and
interest in the theme in the scientific field. Remember that knowledge exists in various areas,
among the various areas, the researcher makes their choice.
Delimitation of the topic - it is the specific topic. To have a specific topic, it is necessary to delimit.
the general theme.
Problem - It is posed as a question. Throughout the project, the question will be evolved.
explored e answered.
Example: What is the usefulness of the computer age for today?
Hypothesis - something is assumed about the subject with a possible solution. It can only arise after
formulated the problem.
Objectives - here will appear the researcher's intentions, describing the probable results
delimiting them. The objectives are divided into general and specific ones. In the objective, verbs are used in
infinitive.
Specific objectives - show aspects and actions in detail. Just like the general objective.
use verbs in the infinitive or specific form as well.
Methodology - It is the method and technique used to carry out data collection. There will be
various types of research, including: exploratory, descriptive, explanatory, bibliographic,
["documentary","experimental","survey","field study","case study","action research"]
Schedule - delineates each action taken in the research project in terms of time. It can be
in months and according to each activity carried out.
