Integrating Course Syllabus: Engineering
1. GENERAL DATA
1.2. Créditos: 2
2. FOUNDATION
The course will encourage a research culture for problem-solving in a case study, applying
general methods of research and specific methods of the sciences through the use of engineering software and
various sources of academic information in Spanish and English. It will also encourage critical reading for
development of professional documents, which allows for oral and written argumentation, with coherence and
fluency.
Finally, it will promote the development of leadership, teamwork, and the culture of occupational safety and health.
3. SUMMARY
This theoretical-practical nature course allows demonstrating knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
acquired up to the fifth cycle of the degree. Therefore, it is expected that by the end of the course it will be supported
with solvency the proposed solution to the simulated case, applying the principles of engineering processes and
the tools for organizing work.

6. METHODOLOGY
The course methodology is designed for the blended modality, linking the learning space.
virtual and in-person classes; and promoting self-learning, student autonomy, and learning
collaborative. The course is conducted using the case method. The teacher suggests updated cases for the
student engage in discussions and debates, and seek solutions.
In Canvas, the virtual learning space, the student finds all the course material, organized by
weeks and organized into three sections corresponding to:
Study material: mandatory learning resources such as videos, readings, external links, and resources.
graphics or interactive.
Activities: they can be graded or complementary and include forums, assignments, evaluations, etc.
Supplementary material: resources that allow for a deeper understanding of the weekly topic.
Our courses include videoconferences and forums for inquiries as interaction spaces where
students and the teacher participate to resolve doubts, develop a topic, and make comments
about the topics discussed.
The face-to-face space allows for the consolidation of the learning achieved in the virtual space with a view to a
application in the labor or professional field; all these activities are related and are based on the
learning developed during the virtual space.
The learning principles promoted in this course are:
Autonomous Learning
Collaborative Learning
Learning for the digital age
7. EVALUATION SYSTEM
The calculation of the final average will be done as follows:
Where:
5. If the student does not present in the defense of the final project, the grade for the final project will be zero (0).
