A world of slick, black asphalt reflecting the sickly orange glow of
FLICKERING streetlights. The rain isn't cleansing; it's suffocating,
turning the air into a cold, wet sheet.
LEO (18), face pale and gaunt, sprints down the center of the empty
road. He’s barefoot. Each step sends a splash of icy water up his
legs. His breath plumes in the air like a ghost.
His eyes are wide with a primal terror, darting back over his shoulder
at something we can’t see. There’s nothing there. Just the rain and
the lonely streetlights.
CLOSE ON: Leo’s feet, slapping against the pavement. They are raw,
scraped.
The only sound is his ragged breathing and pounding footsteps, which
begin to merge with a low, deep...
SFX: HEARTBEAT. Growing louder, more intense. THUMP-THUMP. THUMP-
