Analysis: From the above graph it is observed that the discounts
differ from every region which may impact the profits in the
respective regions. North regions have the highest discount and
the east region have the lowest discounts
Results:
The central region contains Profit of 17,36,863 from the sales of
1,62,82,803 which makes 10%. East region makes a profit of
17,64,191 from the sales of 1,65,38,998 which makes a profit of
10.67% which is almost the same as the central region. North
region makes profit of 19,71,470 from selling amount of
1,84,82,203 which is also the same as east region 10.67%. South
region earned the profit of 20,08,643 from selling amount of
1,88,30,688 which makes 10.67%. West region has earned profit
of 17,46,632 out of 1,63,74,382 which is the same as other all
regions. We can observe that the value of sales is different in all
regions and also the profit is different in various regions. Though
sales and profit differ from each other in every region, the profit
percentage does not change with region. This indicates that every
region has made equal amount of profit margin and an adequate
amount of sales. Also, the profit margins are affected by the
discount rates in the respective regions with which we can
understand the reason why the regions having different sales have
the same profit margins. The total discount for North region has
the highest discount of 8.46% and the South region has 8.08%
discount and West region has 8.34% discount and these are the
areas with highest sales and though they have the same profit
percentage.
Recommendations:
1. Improve strategy as per the region
2. Make changes in discount
3. Increase marketing for low performing products
4. Do seasonal promotions and inventory planning
