The Morning Routine That Can Change
Your Life
IMPORTANT: This routine takes time. That’s why waking up early is key to getting the full
benefits.

sleep: [Link]
This morning routine is inspired by Robin Sharma’s book The 5AM Club, which introduces
the powerful 20/20/20 rule. The idea is to take the first hour of your day and divide it into
three intentional blocks of 20 minutes each:
🔥 First 20 Minutes: MOVE
Start your day by getting your body moving.
This can be: A jog or walk outside, going to the gym, jumping jacks, yoga, or dancing to your
favorite hype song
Exercise wakes up your brain, boosts your mood, and gets your blood flowing. You’ll feel
energized and ready to take on the day.
🧘♂️ Second 20 Minutes: REFLECT
This is your time for peace and stillness.
You can choose to:
● Meditate
● Do deep breathing exercises
● Practice gratitude journaling
🙂
Close your eyes, take a breath, and think about 3 things you're grateful for. And don’t forget
to smile! This part is all about grounding yourself and starting the day with a positive
mindset.
🗓️ Third 20 Minutes: PLAN
Now that your body and mind are primed, use this final block to prepare for a productive day.
We recommend using the Eisenhower Matrix to plan your tasks. Divide your tasks into 4
categories:
1. Musts
2. Shoulds
3. Nice to haves
4. Wont’s
Make sure to finish all musts before you start doing other tasks (for example: deadline for
tomorrow, an important meeting etc.). After that, start working on the Shoulds, which are
important tasks, but are not urgent. Then, finish the nice to haves (like making your
powerpoint presentation a little more fancy). Avoid wont’s, so tasks that are not important,
and not urgent.
To give you a better overview, I recommend to use this table:
Prioritize table Urgent Not urgent
Important example: important meeting example: reading a book
Not important example: making example: scrolling on Social
presentation more fancy Media
Prioritize what actually moves your life forward, not just what feels urgent in the moment.
Write your top 3 priorities for the day and make sure they align with your long-term goals.
🤔 "But what if I want to work out/meditate/plan for
longer than 20 minutes?"
Great question, and the answer is simple:
Go for it!
The 20-minute guideline is just a guideline. If working out for 30 or even 60 minutes fuels
you, do it.
The goal here is to be intentional with how you use your first hour, not to box yourself in.
Build a routine that works best for you.
