What is an Adjective?

An adjective is a word that describes or modifies a noun or pronoun. It gives more
information about a person, place, thing, or idea.
Examples:
- The **blue** sky looks beautiful.
- She is a **brave** girl.
- He bought a **new** car.
Types of Adjectives:

1. **Descriptive Adjectives** – Describe quality or kind.
Example: sweet, tall, clever
2. **Quantitative Adjectives** – Describe quantity or amount.
Example: some, many, few, enough
3. **Demonstrative Adjectives** – Point out specific nouns.
Example: this, that, these, those
4. **Possessive Adjectives** – Show ownership.
Example: my, your, his, her, our, their
5. **Interrogative Adjectives** – Used in questions.
Example: which, what, whose
6. **Distributive Adjectives** – Refer to members of a group individually.
Example: each, every, either, neither
7. **Numeral Adjectives** – Show number or order.

Comparison of Adjectives:

Adjectives have three degrees of comparison:
1. **Positive Degree** – Describes one noun.
Example: She is tall.
2. **Comparative Degree** – Compares two nouns.

3. **Superlative Degree** – Compares more than two nouns.

Order of Adjectives:

When we use more than one adjective, the order is usually:
Quantity → Opinion → Size → Age → Shape → Color → Origin → Material → Purpose → Noun
