I worked with the student for three months, holding
weekly lessons online.
Each session lasted about one hour and included:
Explaining math topics such as algebra, equations,
and percentages.
Solving problems together and discussing mistakes.
Giving short homework for independent practice.
To track progress, I created a Math Test (10 questions)
at the beginning and another one at the end of the 3-
month period.
METHOD OBJECTIVE

REFLECTION SOURCES
The main goal of my project was to help a
student improve his math skills and prepare for
entrance exams of Academic Lyceum of WIUT. I
wanted to see if consistent tutoring over three
months could significantly improve his
understanding and performance in
mathematics.
The student’s results showed clear improvement:
Before (Month 1): 6 out of 10
After (Month 3): 9 out of 10
He became more confident in solving equations
and working with fractions.
The student also reported feeling more prepared
for his school exams.
This 3-month tutoring project demonstrated that
regular, focused lessons and personal feedback can
lead to strong academic progress.
Consistent practice and detailed explanation of
mistakes helped the student understand topics
more deeply.
Through this experience, I learned how to plan lessons,
explain topics clearly, and motivate a student to
improve.
Teaching someone older than me showed me the
importance of patience, structure, and communication.
It also strengthened my own knowledge of
mathematics and made me more confident in sharing
what I know.
