How to Start -Guide
Welcome to the Simple Guide of How to START with Merch by
Amazon.
What is Merch by Amazon?
It's a print on demand (POD) platform that allows anyone to sell
Merch by Amazon (MBA) by simply uploading a design.
The program has expanded from just T-shirts to an entire line of
clothing including standard and premium tees, long sleeve
shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies.
Compared to other platforms like [Link] and
[Link], MBA has a huge client base already, people are
already familiar with purchasing things on Amazon.
Before diving too deep into the subject, the most important
step you need to make is GETTING an MBA account. Which
compared to any other POD websites, an opening an account
with MBA is by approval only.
Which means, you will have to submit an application and wait
until you get a reply from MBA.
If you already got your account approved, congratulation!
If you got rejected, can reapply but you will need a new
Amazon account, which I recommend creating using different
browser.
Registering for an MBA Account:
You can access MBA by using the link below or by simply
searching on Google, “Merch by Amazon”.

This is the Homepage of Merch by Amazon.
Here you can either Sign Up using your Amazon Account or
Create a new one. The log in details will remain the same with
your Amazon customer account.
You will need your amazon account login information to apply
for amazon merch account, so if you have one already you will
use that otherwise simply create an amazon account.
If you have previously applied and got rejected and want to
apply again, you will need a new amazon account, which I
recommend creating using different browser.
After sign-in in with your amazon account you will be prompted
with the Services Agreement Page.
Make sure to Read and Accept these.
You will then need to fill in your Business, bank and tax
information.
If you don’t have a business already set up, you can just fill in
your details as an Individual
Fill in Tax information.
You will need your Tax Identification number.
If you don’t live in the USA you can get more information using
the link below.

After filling in all tax information, you can then Save & Continue
and move the final step of the application.
Next is the sign-up form and the most important part of the
application.
What should you write in the Additional Information Box?
There are many aspects that I’ve heard that work in favour of
getting accepted, but the most important one is the one that
I’ve personally used and been accepted in less than 2 weeks is
why YOU could bring VALUE to the merch marketplace on
Amazon why you think Amazon is such a great
company/business to work with.
Other points you can mention in your application are:
1. Traffic: If you have any type of traffic that is coming from a
website, Instagram page, YouTube, TikTok
2. Designs: Mention that you have designs ready to upload
and that you are generally spending a lot on time into
designing and making you create high quality designs.
3. Terms of service: You could also let them know that you
read the terms of service and you understand and will not
make any copyright infringements with your designs.
4. Grammar: This point shouldn’t need explanation. You are
in Hustle’s University and probably planning to join the
War Room. Writing grammatically correct shouldn’t be
something I should remind you about.
5. They need you: Give the feeling that they need you more
that you need them. You are not begging for approval but
you are bringing value to them.
It takes a few weeks to be accepted. You can leave the tab
open and come back to it to check if you got accepted rather
than wait for the email.
If you’re not getting a reply, it’s likely you have been rejected.
Once you get accepted your dashboard will look something
like this:
If you notice some differences that’s because I have installed
the Chrome Extension: Merch Informer and I recommend you
install it as well.
You will start at Tier 10 which means you can upload 10
different designs. You can only upload 1 – 2 designs(products)
per day. If the image above, you can see I can upload up to two
designs today.
If you upload a design on two different markets, it will take up
two slots. I recommend uploading on .com or [Link] and wait
until MBA Auto-uploads it on the other marketplaces as you see
in the image above.
The Auto-uploaded one will not take up space from your 10
slots.
You can be upgraded to higher Tier Levels (25, 50,100, 500) by
the MBA team based on sales and the quality of products you
are selling.
The Merch by Amazon team will be hand-selecting content
creators who have sold the same amount of products as the
number of the tier they are in.
For example – to move up from the 10 tier, a content creator
will need to sell at least 10 products from those they have
created to move up to the 25 tier.
Admission to these tiers are based not only on sales, but the
quality of the products being sold by the content creator as
well.
To create new products, it’s easy and all information and
guidelines are offered by MBA, including templates for
Photoshop for each type of product.
Premium t-shirt are only available on .com market.
I highly recommend understanding what you can and cannot
create, because you could easily get your account banned.
One of the easiest ways of getting banned is creating products
related to StarWars. They have probably the most patents out
of all the companies selling on Amazon. So be careful.
