Determine the core permeability (k) for oil flow through a cylindrical
core sample, given the following data:
Fluid viscosity, µ= 10 cP ; • Core length, L = 8.5 cm; • Core radius, r = 3
cm; Pressure drop, \Delta P = 10 atm; • Flow rate, Q = 0.05 cm3/s
Assume steady-state, laminar flow, and use Darcy’s Law to determine
the permeability of the core sample. Also, construct the relationship
between pressure drop (ΔP) and flow rate (Q) for flow rates ranging
from 0.05 to 0.5 cm³/s using the same equation.
