As we reach the culmination of our entrepreneurial journey, marked by the tangible act of selling our
products, it’s time to reflect on the rich tapestry of experiences, observations, accomplishments, and
learnings that have shaped this transformative venture.
The act of selling our products marked a tangible accomplishment in our entrepreneurial journey. From
ideation to execution, seeing our products resonate with customers and witnessing the transactions
unfold was a testament to our collective efforts. The sense of accomplishment extended beyond
financial gains; it was about making a mark, creating something meaningful that others found value in.
On the first day of the culmination of grade 12 students, our products were sold and everything went
according to our plan, besides, students flocked to our place, we also did not expect our supply to run
out, because the supply we bought was expected to take two days. We also recouped what we spent for
this activity on the first day apparently. The things stated in the business plan book were followed and all
the products were sold, we also reached the number of costumers we intend to sell our product. One of
the recurring challenges we face is that staying innovative and meeting the diverse preferences of our
customers while maintaining a balance with our core business is a huge challenge. There are occasional
difficulties navigating supply chain issues, for example when we ran out of a cooking material it really
affected our food supply. Adding to the problem we faced was guaranteeing consistent quality of
ingredients/guaranteeing consistent quantity of our servings. Striking the right balance between staying
true to our legacy and adapting to changing products is a challenge we continue to address. We all had
fun on the first day of our culmination. We were all enjoying what we were doing, there was a time
when we panicked because many students suddenly came to our booth but in the end. Although we
were tired all afternoon, we were happy to finish the first day of our culmination.
Second day of our culminating activity. At exactly 7:00 am we started to prepare all the things we needed
for selling, like kitchen tools and foods that we are going to sell. We also clean the surroundings of our
stall to make sure that it is clean and it looks nice to visit. On day 2 of our sales, we had a slightly smaller
consumer base, unlike on day 1, when we were crowded. But we still managed to sell out almost all of
our products except the sizzling hotdog. Maybe due to the price of our products because our other
products are more expensive. We considered adding and changing other products on our third day that
will be sold for something new in the eyes of our customers because, in their eyes, that’s what they will
buy for sure. At the end of the day what we feel was really overwhelming. We are tired due to the whole
day selling but we are really happy whenever our customers compliment our service and the taste of the
food we sell.
Third day. Just like before, our best sellers, especially the coffee jelly, were gone in a flash. It seems like
students really love that morning caffeine kick. By the end of the day, everything was sold, except for
some dishes and rice. Instead of stressing about it, we turned it into an unplanned feast for ourselves.
However, we hit a bit of difficulty in the afternoon – fewer sales. It turned out students had spent all
their money in the morning. But we bounced back by introducing ice cream, and it was sold out. Clearly,
our customers have a sweet spot for our ice cream because they are asking for more. On that day, the
experience that our teacher scolded us for being late in class was really memorable. But it turned out
well because we had someone watching over our booth and making progress in our business even
though we have class.
On the final day—January 12, 2024—our culinary adventure reached its end during the culminating
activity. We wear our kitchen aprons in the morning, arranging our tools with cleanliness. As the day
unfolded, the kitchen became busy with activity as we created our ultimate trio: Ube turon, Popcorn,
and Corn with cheese. Amidst our flavorful success, a twist popped up in the situation. The aroma of
freshly popped popcorn attracted our customers with the flavorings of original cheese and newly sour
cream. Unfortunately, our popularity led to a blow because we ran out of popcorn. Therefore, students
were left longing for the snack that had become the best seller of our booth. In this delicious time and
taste in Bagueats, the last day became a memorable blend of culinary and unexpected challenges,
proving that even in simplicity, the flavors of creativity will continue.
Through keen observation, we gained insights into consumer behavior, market dynamics, and the
competitive landscape. Noticing the nuances of what attracts customers, understanding the power of
effective communication, and gauging reactions to our products became a valuable skill set. Observing
the flow of the market allowed us to adapt and refine our strategies on the fly.
The most profound aspect of this culminating experience lies in the learnings it bestowed upon us. We
discovered the importance of adaptability, learning to pivot our approach based on customer feedback
and market trends. Understanding the significance of effective marketing, the art of pricing strategies,
and the impact of customer service became valuable lessons into our entrepreneurial repertoire.
This journey was a masterclass in resilience, agility, and creativity. It taught us that the essence of
entrepreneurship lies not just in creating a product but in understanding the intricate dance between
product and consumer. The ability to listen, adapt, and persist in the face of challenges became the core
pillars of our entrepreneurial ethos.
Our culminating experience in entrepreneurship was not merely about selling products; it was a
transformative rite of passage. It marked the transition from theoretical knowledge to applied wisdom,
from envisioning ideas to manifesting tangible outcomes. As we navigate forward, armed with the
experiences, observations, accomplishments, and learnings from this venture, we carry a newfound
confidence and readiness to face the dynamic landscapes of entrepreneurial endeavors that lie ahead.
As I reflect on the vast landscape of entrepreneurial concepts explored during our study, the journey
through the 4 Ms of operations, the dynamics of homogeneous and heterogeneous products, the
intricate dance between the Value Chain and Supply Chain, and the essential aspects of developing a
business model unfold vividly in my mind.
The 4 Ms – Manpower, Method, Machine, and Materials – emerged as the backbone of effective
business operations. Understanding how these elements interplay and impact the overall efficiency of a
business was enlightening. It became apparent that a harmonious balance among these components is
vital for smooth operations and optimal output. The distinction between homogeneous and
heterogeneous products brought to light the importance of catering to diverse customer needs. Learning
to adapt our approach based on the nature of the product was a pivotal lesson, allowing us to tailor our
strategies for maximum market appeal. While the Value Chain focuses on internal processes to create
value, the Supply Chain emphasizes external relationships and logistics. Understanding these nuances
was crucial in orchestrating a seamless business flow. The process of developing a business model
involved meticulous planning, from forecasting revenue and estimating costs to computing for profit.
The journey of starting and operating a simple business was a hands-on experience. It was a culmination
of theoretical knowledge applied to the real world. Navigating through business registration
requirements and understanding the significance of keeping accurate records laid the foundation for a
robust business structure. The guidelines for successful business plan implementation provided a
roadmap for translating ideas into actions. Setting clear objectives, delineating tasks, allocating time
efficiently, and monitoring progress were the guiding principles that ensured the seamless execution of
our business plan. Delving into the world of bookkeeping, understanding key tasks, and constructing an
income statement shed light on the financial heartbeat of a business. The role of a bookkeeper emerged
as a critical aspect of maintaining financial health and making informed business decisions.
As I conclude this reflection, the wealth of knowledge gained from these concepts forms a solid
foundation for future entrepreneurial endeavors. The journey through the 4 Ms, the product spectrum,
the intricacies of chains, and the nuts and bolts of business operations has not only expanded my
understanding but also equipped me with the tools to navigate the complex world of entrepreneurship.
This experiential learning has been invaluable, shaping my perspective and readiness for the dynamic
challenges that lie ahead in the realm of business.
