Assistant Manager - Marketing and Communications

Thank you for applying for the Development Communication Role at Crashfree
India. Requesting you to please go through the Job Description again if you
haven’t already.

As part of Round 2 of the selection process, all shortlisted candidates are required
to submit the following:

●​ Video Assignment: A maximum 5-minute video, in which you:

1.​ Tell us why you believe you’re a strong fit for this fellowship. We’d
love to hear what drives you, how this opportunity aligns with your
purpose, and what you hope to contribute
2.​ Share an experience where you demonstrated 'drive'. Talk about a
time you consistently worked toward a meaningful goal, especially in
the face of challenges or setbacks. We’re looking for resilience,
ownership, and follow-through
3.​ Present your assignment overview (refer page 2), In up to 3 minutes,
summarize the most important aspects of your assignment: the
idea, your approach, and what impact it could create. Keep it crisp,
we will review the detailed document separately. We’re not
expecting you to cover every detail, but show us the strength of your
thinking, structure, and approach

You can record this on your phone or laptop. Keep it simple and clear —
we’re evaluating clarity of thought, not video production quality.

Role-specific Assignment Details

We’re excited to have you explore how you would contribute to Crashfree India
(CFI). This assignment is designed to assess your structured thinking, real-world
problem solving, user empathy, and creativity, not how flashy your slides are.

Important Instructions:

●​ Submission Format: Please submit all assignments in a single document,


Google Doc or PDF (Word or PPT format is also acceptable if converted to
PDF).
●​ Webpage Output: For the no-code assignment, paste the publicly
accessible link within the same document.
●​ No Word/Page Limit: There is no hard limit on word count or page count.
This is intentional, we want to evaluate how well you can distill useful
information from noise, structure your thoughts, and prioritize what
matters most to communicate effectively.
●​ IP Protection: All submitted work remains the intellectual property of the
applicant. CFI will not use any part of your submission without your written
permission.
●​ Use of AI tools: AI tools are encouraged for brainstorming, research
content refinement, but blind reliance, fabrication of data, or
AI-generated content lacking context and original thought will be
rejected. All submissions must reflect an understanding of Crashfree India's
vision, ongoing work, and public initiatives. Lack of contextual awareness
may lead to disqualification.

Your Tasks

Assignment 1
Crashfree India (CFI) is currently running a national initiative involving 40 intern
teams across India, each working virtually over a 3-month period to address local
road infrastructure challenges. Each team is tasked with selecting a location,
identifying infrastructural issues, conducting audits, surveying local communities,
and proposing actionable solutions. [Project details here]. Further details attached
in ANNEXURE 1 of this document.

Teams have started working on the project already from 1st August and are in
Phase 1 (Problem Identification).

You are working on the communications and outreach for this campaign, helping
amplify the project’s visibility and impact. You’ll also be responsible for building
networks and engaging relevant stakeholders. Key Objectives:
●​ Market the initiative and the on-ground impact being created
●​ Build partnerships with institutions, influencers, and organizations that can
amplify or support this mission.
●​ Engage experts and prominent voices in the road safety ecosystem, make
sure they know what’s happening

Use strategic PR and digital media tools (including, but not limited to, social
media) to tell compelling, credible stories. (Please note that our social media
channels are not dedicated solely to this campaign, your content strategy should
be thoughtful and non-spammy).

The plan should be ready to run from Day 1, not just on paper, but in practice.
When we evaluate, feasibility and practicality will be the measures that matter
most.

Task
Prepare the following:
●​ A 1-page proposal outlining:
○​ Feasible, implementable ideas for promoting this initiative
○​ Tools or channels you'd use (e.g. media, newsletters, influencers,
partnerships)
○​ Evidence of originality, practical thinking, and research
○​ Prioritization of ideas based on impact and effort
○​ A basic calendar or timeline for executing these ideas (next 4–6
weeks)
●​ Stakeholder messaging:
○​ Identify key stakeholder groups (e.g. media, government officials,
NGOs, industry experts, academic institutions) (~10 partners, highly
contextual and relevant for Project Rakshak
●​ Prepare an outreach brief / Newsletter message for two of the stakeholder
group of your choice - with key focus on messaging

Assignment 2: Newsletter Concept Brief


Using publicly available content from Crashfree India’s official website and social
media channels, draft a newsletter concept brief intended for circulation among
key stakeholders of Crashfree India (Board of Advisors, Partners and Trustees). The
brief should outline your vision for the newsletter, including its structure, tone, key
themes, and sample headlines or content snippets if relevant.

Assignment 3: Webpage Design for CFI on CARS24 Platform
Scenario: You are part of a cross-functional team integrating Crashfree India’s
mission onto the CARS24 website. The goal is to design a no-code webpage that
highlights CFI’s work, stories, and impact in a way that feels native to CARS24
users.

Task: Design a publicly accessible no-code webpage (Using tools such as Lovable,
Bolt ai, Carrd or the one you prefer) that seamlessly integrates with CARS24
website (Showcasing our work, projects, impact etc.)

You can source content from the CFI website or social channels. Use dummy
numbers or placeholder data as needed. The focus is on structure, consistency,
user flow, and clarity.

Submit only the link of this webpage - Use no code free tools for hosting, (ensure
it’s viewable to anyone with the link)

How Your Assignment Will Be Evaluated

Each submission will be evaluated on the following parameters:

●​ Clarity of thinking and structure of approach


●​ Originality and strength of insights or ideas
●​ Feasibility and practicality of execution
●​ Level of detail in action planning
