Most schools have classrooms, a cafeteria,
and a gymnasium. But there is one kind of
school that doesn’t – a forest school!
At Willow Park forest school, boys and girls
study in the woods with trees all around
them. Students usually start at the school

The school day is short for young students. It
ends at 12:30 p.m. When students are eleven
years old, school starts at 8:00 a.m. and ends
at 5:00 p.m. That’s a long day!
In the morning, students study subjects like
math, English, science, and music. But they
study outside in the forest! At lunchtime, they
have a break, but they don’t go home. They
cook their own food over a fire. In the
afternoon, they learn forest skills, for
example, how to build a shelter. They also
learn about nature. 3 ___________________ 4 _________________
