Understanding the Healing Process
Understanding the Healing Process
We can always choose to defend ourselves against illness, but demanding even to wait
that there is no illness (nor failures in life, or any conflict) is to fly foolishly
facing the inevitable, trying to force our will when we are destined to
to fail, fighting against an opponent that cannot be defeated. In this circumstance not
there can be peace. A healthier and more sound approach is to learn to fight our
battles without losing our ability to accept what is. If at this moment I have
cancer, then it is something with which I must find a way to come to peace,
besides looking for a cure. But the healing of my illness and the healing of my life
and spirit can very well remain as two separate and distinct processes. With the
Time may heal me but I will not recover, or perhaps I will recover but will not heal.
Healing is the application of a certain energy in such a way that it encourages someone towards a
greater health agenda. The surgeon's scalpel, the herbalist's remedy, the adjustment of
chiropractor, the manipulation that the psychic makes of the energy field of a chakra;
they are all ways of healing. There is an external agent in each of them, and a
person in the role of a professional (Although it is possible that we give ourselves treatments to
ourselves). For the treatment to be effective, it must increase the tendency
natural and inherent to the patient to return to health. For example, an infection
it can be treated and cured with an antibiotic, but the medication only works until
where I supported and reinforced the processes of natural healing.
Healing is the process that occurs behind the scenes while the cure is given, the hero
silent that grants power to the remedy, the alteration of conditions that
they brought about the illness in the beginning. Without the cooperation of the body's impulses.
and the mind towards health, our methods of care and healing would actually be seen
pathetic. When the mysterious forces of healing cannot align, the patient
it does not recover. Chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation treatments can destroy
a tumor, but if a single cancer cell remains and the body is not able to
destroy it by himself with his own healing forces, cancer will return, the
the remission will end and the patient will die. Now is when you as a healer can
to influence. Perhaps you are already a healthcare professional, a provider of cures, or perhaps not,
but it can be a healer in any case, and through awareness it can
modify harmful trends in your patient.
Healing is mysterious and will surely remain so. Why does a person...

that it is possible to fully unravel these enigmas. Frequently, the process

with the absence of attempts at healing. We are all familiar with our

complete, understandable.
Beyond this physical and emotional healing, there is also the healing of the spirit, the
healing of life itself, but of course there is no way to really separate these
different aspects of healing. Emotional health is vital for physical healing and the
spiritual peace; physical health leads to emotional health and spiritual balance, and so on
successively. However, the healing of a life must be considered separately for a
simple reason: we are all going to die. Sooner or later, our physical health will decline. It is

of our conditions but the return to equilibrium and peace. If our perspective is
that certain conditions of our life are wrong and must be corrected for
to be able to feel whole and at peace again, then we are condemning ourselves to a

Do we want? The 'perfect' conditions are more of an exception than the rule, and being
waiting for perfection or working to achieve it can take up so much of our days
like our energy. Certainly, it is necessary to make an effort, to turn mistakes
in successes, and the diseases in treatment, but there is another 'task' that is needed
to do and what is the humble work of healing. This game of healing that does not
requires some effort (as it is probably not a job in reality)
it simply consists of allowing us, without fear, to experience everything that is
happening in the moment. When we are able to do it, a miracle occurs: the
miracle of healing.
When you are in front of someone calm, or someone angry, or someone with a lot
personal power, you feel it too. The presence of this person has an effect on

You fall and get hurt, can you explain it: you tripped and fell, you hit your knee, it stimulated.
The nerve endings somehow caused a bit of inflammation, among other things.
The result is pain and limited movement for a few days.
That is understandable.
But our experience of someone's presence is not easy to explain. We know that
It happens but we cannot say how.
The true understanding of the potential healing power of your presence will arise from
your firsthand experience, and that, as I mentioned, will only happen with the
practice. Stop any lack of faith you may have had and from now on assume that the
transcendence is possible. Assume that it is possible (even briefly) to step out of
material universe and experience a bit of what is already in its entirety outside of the
limits of human cognition. Assume then that consciousness is capable of provoking
the change and that intentions in consciousness can modify events. If you
If you can assume all this, then you are on the path to understanding. Simply the

of healing.
You are a healer. It is part of your nature to be able to develop your ability to
achieve a neutral, meditative state, and in that state have a deeply profound effect
positive in yourself, in others, and in your overall environment. We all have that
potential. You can facilitate the natural healing ability in others and
help them return to a state of balance and happiness.

Although we will use the 'sensory process' in order to know the state of presence, the
sensory process is merely a teaching tool, and ultimately it

more than a technique; it is more about his awareness and his presence rather than
any other issue. These aspects in you, the awareness and the presence, can

BE NEUTRAL
Neutrality is the fundamental quality that allows us to be transcendent and thus be able to
to modify an event that occurs in consciousness. It allows him to release the
conditions that have kept you or a patient, with trends or patterns
harmful habits. If you meditate and your foot is uncomfortable, your 'tendency' will be

things. Or he can move his foot, but this would only serve to reinforce the preconceived notion
the "condition" in his consciousness that says a sore foot is not desirable and must
avoid it. You must remain stable in your meditation to be more neutral and release
the conditions. This stability is the state in which there is no concentration or focus of
attention to something, there are no reactions, and it is also a state where all sensations
experienced ones are allowed, just like all the other sensations. There is no
only feeling regardless of its intensity, that receives more attention than the others. If
you wish to heal with the sensory process, you will need to work neutrally with it
that appears in their consciousness, like discomfort and problems. We are
used to focusing on everything that bothers us, and we are always fighting
with our pains and fears. But we must start our healing practice
now, through a space where, in the face of annoyance and distraction, we do not make
nothing. This doesn't mean that you have to hold onto your mind tightly,
restricting it like a police officer holding a violent criminal, then it

meditation. Find a position that allows you to relax and be comfortable, but straight and
alert. You can sit on the floor with your legs crossed, with or without a cushion to
to lean, or you could sit upright in a firm chair. The PRESENCE does not need
a particular seating position, but at this moment of your practice any of

spiritual whose use I especially wish to promote in you. Before starting your practice of
healing or meditation, stop and decree in your consciousness that this moment you
will dedicate to the sacred, to the divine, to the infinite. In a respectful position towards the
sacred, together implies that at this moment we are leaving our being
personal, manejado por el ego, a favor de la inteligencia universal ilimitada que puede
fluir a través de nosotros. Es una poderosa forma de empezar.
So having tuned in, gradually enter into your awareness of all the
sensations that you are experiencing in your body. Feel the air on your skin. Feel the
pressure of your legs against the cushion or chair. Feel how your breath moves through
their nostrils and the expansion and contraction of their lungs with each breath.
Feel the sensation of tension and relaxation and the feelings of discomfort and of
place. Feel the force of gravity pulling against every part of your body. Take
your time and continuously expand your awareness so that you can feel more and more.
Feel also the subtle, small, and quiet sensations that occur between the most
noteworthy. Feel those that do not have a specific name. Take your time and allow
even more sensations in their consciousness.
If you have thoughts, acknowledge the sensations related to them and allow them to
also take place, without any trace of judgment. Maybe you want to not be
thinking, or being more comfortable, but just take into account what it feels like with that desire
and how he feels the thoughts, without worrying about how well he is doing.
If you are aware of external stimuli, the noises, the smells, for example,
realize the sensations that arise in relation to them. Perhaps they do not result
obvious at first, but soon you will recognize that your experience with a sound or with a
Color is not the object that has created the sound or the smell, but the sensations in some
place of their body (generally it is not in their nose or ears) that arise like
response. Be aware of these sensations as we said before without judgment. In
function of our purpose, there are no good or bad feelings, and all must be
allowed equally.
Continue meditating in this way for fifteen minutes or more. There is no hurry. If you...
feel frustrated, simply open your eyes for a moment, close them, and return to
start the practice. When you finish, notice how you feel and how it has affected you
the practice.
By carrying out this practice, you will be relating to nothing more and nothing less than the
experience of this moment. From this practice, it is possible that it will come to light the
that you have been hiding in the corners and cracks of the depths of your mind. That
it is good, as it will allow you to witness the subtle effects of what you have been
evading. It is possible that at first the experience is intense, but if you only
intense feelings are allowed, without trying to resolve anything for now, you will see
that those feelings lose their power. Every time I help a student or a
client only by being present with their long-repressed feelings,
the intensity always alleviates. Emotions and thoughts and, more importantly, the
sensations that are experienced in relation to them should not be eliminated or
ignore them, but simply let them be. If you are sad, let the
feelings of sadness move you and feel their touch. If you are hurt, allow
Let that move you. If you feel pleasure, allow that sensation to move you.
Meditation in the PRESENCE is to completely stop being our own environment.
interior and the real experience of this moment. In doing so, we develop an openness
towards the outside environment from us. If we are not judging our experience
interior, then we will not judge the exterior experience that gives rise to the interior. Thus
we are capable of knowing things as they are, without worrying about how to cling to
our experience nor how we could improve it. This acceptance of the conditions
internal and external is the beginning of genuine love and compassion, and these are, in turn,
the essence of healing.
By doing your practice this way, for several months, you will notice not only a new
skill as a healer, but also a growing ability to manage the

Since birth, we have been accumulating ideas about ourselves and the world.
We have endless concepts and prejudices about what is desirable, what should

We also have endless ideas about ourselves: how we are, for what

next line of defense, deeper inside. When I let go of the anger, then I felt the
the most basic desire to be comforted. But at this point, what I was essentially stating was:

When you are in the position of healer, remember that it is not you who heals. The
healer is consciousness, not his consciousness, but consciousness itself. There is no
healing without the Sacred Space, and it is the lineage that sustains the Space. The school of
the PRESENCE, the teachers of the PRESENCE and the ability they have to
sustain the Space, they have been combined with the practice you have in the process

has taught you to leap from the normal to the Sacred. Do not think: 'I
I'm doing this," or "I learned only to heal," as it is a formula for pain and the
failure. Simply make a small space within yourself, a place that is full
of beliefs, concepts, and judgments of the ego, and then allow there to be freedom and
healing in that space. Recognize where this capability comes from that you
count, honor the lineage and the way it works through you. You will be more and more
more aware. With his consciousness, he will be serving someone else, and thus his progress will be
faster. The adorable irony is that at the moment you give up your desire
by having healing power, you acquire it. The power of PRESENCE only comes from
the intensity of his desire to renounce his power and be in a position of service.
In the PRESENCE we do not provide prescriptions to treat this or that condition. I will not tell you that
certain feelings or sensations that you experience signify particular issues
about your client, nor do they need a particular response from you. If they did,
assuming you could do it, then you would have your head full of information and

All you need is to be aware, without judging.
It is clear that our healing work is very different from the work of other kinds of
health professionals. The practice of PRESENCE consists of creating and maintaining
a stable meditative presence and in that state enter into an intentional relationship with
a client, or with a particular aspect of a client, with the intention of healing through
from that sacred state of meditation. This is different from using a meditative state to
strengthen intuition and then use that intuitive understanding to design a plan for
treatment. It is different from treating a client with channeled energy.
Certainly, it is not the same as gathering facts and observations from a patient and
from them conclude that there is a particular disease and that certain is required
treatment. The PRESENCE is quite more direct and easier than any of
the previous ones.
The PRESENCE is almost as if there were no patient at all, only the healer,
completely present in your own experience. Imagine sitting in meditation,
alone, aware of all the sensations in his body. Imagine that he feels fatigue but
it only allows that fatigue until it goes away. Or, imagine you are sitting in a bad
posture and start to feel pain in the back. In that case, maybe adjust your quickly.

PRESENCE. Through a process of allowing all your sensations (just as you
it allows for itching or fatigue), or through suitable small adjustments (such as the
small change in your posture), you will treat the client. The only differences are that
in the PRESENCE there are two bodies and a meditative mind, and that adjustments can
purely non-physical adjustments in your consciousness. They may seem to you like things
extraordinary and, in a way, they are. But they are also as natural as the

they rely heavily on learned facts and on intelligence and knowledge of the
healer. A well-trained doctor can bring to mind, in an instant, many
possible causes of a particular symptom and will know how a medication would interact
with dozens of others. At the very least, and very importantly, the doctor will know how to have
access to huge sources of information so that I can research in an orderly manner

of a community of healers and will know which other member of the community could

How do we know something? What process leads us to know that we enjoy being with a certain friend?
What makes it cold? There is actually only one way. Everything is known through the
senses. Surely you know the taste or sensation of a plate of pasta, through
in this sensory way. Or when someone calls him, the phone rings and he experiences a
particular sensation. His rational mind may tell him that he is hearing the doorbell with
your ears, but that is just part of the case, and it definitely is not what you experience
with the bell. If you were asleep when the phone rang, you will live some
experience. If you were waiting for any news about a sick relative of

Pay close attention, you will see that the experiences are different in that they are the result
of different sensations in their body.
This may or may not be an advantage in everyday life. If you are very neutral, the
the conclusions I drew may be well founded. Your intuition will be accurate. Your
actions, based on these conclusions, will be appropriate. But if you are within
a mental framework of emotions, whether positive or negative, your emotions will color
their conclusions and then their words or actions may generate undesirable effects.
The primary purpose of meditation is the development of a neutral mind, which is
open to experience as it is, a mind that does not shade the experience with tint
of the ego or of the preservation of the self.
In our healing practice, we aim to achieve absolute neutrality and the
stability in the healing space. That means it doesn't matter what our
experience, nor how pleasant or unpleasant our sensations are, not
we will focus our attention on no sensation nor on any set of
sensations. In other words, no matter how we feel, we will remain neutral and
we will only feel. This is what Richard had to do to heal, and this is the space
sensory one we've been talking about: the space where everything is allowed in form
equitable and where we will simply acknowledge what we feel. With time and practice
by using this sensory process, you may also feel a moment of transcendence,
a moment when I know something more than sensations. It is when we enter Space
Sacred, when it turns out that we know consciousness in the event with which we
we relate.
Of course, it can also be "known" that six plus eleven equals seventeen and that this

these are not based on direct experience with the internal state of the other.

In the sense in which we are using the word 'know,' it has a very specific meaning.

This is very important. If you do not understand this, it will lead you to great confusion. Upon
at first a student would say that they feel "a problem in the patient's heart" or
that your patient "is tense in the lower part of the spine." But how can the
student to know that? Perhaps you think it is possible to know something about someone else,
but if you study this idea closely you will see that this is not the case. When a mother

in front of her baby. What she knows is the heat on her lips, not the baby's fever.

what one can know: one's own experience.
It is true that over time you will develop the skill to diagnose if you continue.
working with PRESENCE. This is nothing surprising, nor does it contradict what
I just mentioned. In fact, you already make "diagnoses" in your daily life.
A mother, based on her feelings, accurately diagnoses her baby's fever. If
the face of her friend looks distressed and her posture is awkward, her feelings in
relationship with her, they will tell you, based on their experience, that she is sad. You have a lot of
experience because he has lived in the company of many people with different moods, and
without a doubt can make the diagnosis of sadness.
But for our purposes, it is important to recognize that you do not know that you are sad,
can only know how she feels in relation to her friend. It is only her experience that
he tells her that she is probably sad. In everyday life, that is enough, but it is not
suitable in the PRESENT, and it is not suitable if we expect to know peace and joy
at every moment. In our healing work, we are not collecting data, so
the moment never arrives when we can say that we have gathered enough
information and that we can thereby draw a conclusion. We are avoiding the trap
to think that we know, when in fact we are only conjecturing.
Recognize that you do not know the event (your patient, or your problem). What you know
it's what he feels in relation to his event, and that's all. So we already have another rule,
When learning to work with the sensory space, the second Dogma of PRESENCE

with him.
Inclusion
Since the consciousness that encompasses everything lies in the heart of the PRESENCE, thus
as in the heart of a joyful life, it is necessary to ask: What is it really
What do we include? Imagine in relation to your client, sensorily aware of
all the feelings in you, when suddenly the knee that recently
it starts to hurt or you think of your deceased mother and feel a
heaviness in his heart. What does he do with those feelings? Perhaps they seem like distractions
impertinent in the task being performed, something that must be ignored so that it can
to be fully aware of the sensations in relation to your client. But
consider the implications of a conclusion like that. If you consider
impertinent to the pain in her knee, she will have to set herself aside, in a way expelled
of his consciousness. How can he do that? How can he stop feeling? Will it be necessary
to erect a border line, a kind of wall right in the middle of consciousness with the
pertinent feelings on one side and impertinent ones on the other. Or it can also
try to suppress the feeling by swallowing it, putting it out of sight. Then
It will need to have a box, rather than a wall, a place to hide what you do not want.
The problem with these strategies is that they have no end. If the knee pain is not
relevant, what happens with the feeling of the air that moves across the skin of your hand?
Should it be included or not? What about the contraction of a muscle contracting between
his ribs, or the contraction of his stomach? How will he know, how will he make such a judgment?
How can one withdraw and witness their sensations, choosing to include some and exclude others?
others?
Even if you are able to make these distinctions, what would be the price? What
What should I do to exclude certain sensations and include others? It requires a lot of
amount of energy and powerful defenses to maintain those boxes and those borders, like this
we simply don't even try. In the PRESENCE we say that we cannot
do not discriminate anything that appears in the relationship. If a plane passes while you are in
relationship with someone, the airplane (or more precisely the feelings that arise in you)
in relation to the sound of the plane) is fully included. If you have pain of
head for three days before his client arrives for treatment, cannot
to say: 'the headache has nothing to do with the patient'. If it appears in the
relationship, is included. No sensation is segregated, nor is it favored. If
there is a thought, there are sensations of having had that thought and that
sensations are also included.
Isn't this also a way of living? When the sun rises through the fog.
The morning is refreshing with a breeze, my daughter starts to burst into our camp.
Are those sounds a disturbance? Should I ask him to be quiet so I can enjoy?
The morning? Or do I include its sounds in my experience? And what about the mosquitoes?

the experience of something different from peace; perhaps frustration or even anger. Our habit
is about excluding the undesirable and seeking more of the pleasurable. In principle, this
It may seem quite reasonable in everyday matters, but in any case
it is limiting. By doing so, we close off a part of ourselves and know less about the
richness of life.
Intention
So far, these dogmas are quite logical. They can represent new ways of
to think about our experience, but in fact they make sense and must be
sufficiently easy to accept. The next element is a bit different. Now
necesitamos reconocer algo que está más ajeno a nuestra experiencia cotidiana, aunque
soon it will seem quite clear.
When you are stable in the Sacred Space or the sensory space of the
PRESENCE when, that is, you allow all your sensations and do not concentrate on
none, any intention that occurs in your consciousness will affect your event. In the
PRESENCE, we always have the intention to heal. That is basic and unchangeable.
We always hold that intention and, because we do so, an effect occurs.
healing in the client. There may be additional, secondary intentions, such as the
intention to strengthen the immune system or to release tension. If already, being
stable in your space, you introduce the intention that your patient will relax, there will be
a relaxing effect on the patient as a consequence of that intention. Having those
intentions in our consciousness affect our patients.
Why? Why can simple intention have an effect on your event? Remember
que no estamos haciendo alguna especie de trabajo de energía ni dirigiendo una fuerza
of a certain class. In reality, we are not using any tools at all. It is not
how to have the intention of driving a nail, which we perform through the action of

seem more like driving a nail, where intention translates into action. The
action can be as subtle as the movement of psychic energy or as physical as
the chiropractic adjustment. But in the PRESENCE we are working only with the
awareness, and you might well ask: How can awareness generate a
Effect? The answer lies in the nature of the particular consciousness of the
PRESENCE. When we enter the healing space, our consciousness escapes from its
usual prison. Our point of view collapses along with the false sense of having
a center around which everything revolves. Then we live existence without false barriers
accustomed between being and the other. Without borders, consciousness is where it wants to be.
Without borders, consciousness affects everything it relates to. Without borders, the
consciousness penetrates everything for which it individualizes.
In the PRESENCE there is no egocentric point of view, nor a sense that the healer
Here I worked with the patient over there. You can even take a step beyond the meaning of
a 'you' that has feelings. Feelings are important, but you recognize that
they have a place in the middle of nowhere, in space. It's as if all the
sensations that arise not within you, but in a space. As a healer, you
is developing its relationship with that space. In the space where it is one with the
sensations. There is no suspension of feeling, nor do you allow yourself to be carried away by your
feelings. The way we work with sensations is by allowing them,
relating to its basic quality, its mere 'being', without contaminating our
sensations with concepts about relationships. We achieve this only when the meaning
the "I" is out of the scene, and we can strip ourselves of our point of view
personal.
This point of view could have different qualities at each moment. At times it is
the sense of spatial distance; I am here and you are there. At other times, the
Point of view is more of a visualization of how the other looks through our eyes.
And other times it is even more subtle: the sense of a difference or a distinction between
you and your event. In our work, we do not try to 'deal' with sensations to
to solve them or process them in some way. Rather, we just want to know them as they are.
how they are, without any resistance to living them and without magnifying them. With this, we let go of the
point of view. When we manage to accomplish this very simple task, something wonderful happens;
the confusion of thoughts, emotions, and feelings about our sensations is
it transforms into a direct knowledge of our sensations. The consequence is
profound. Without a point of view, there is no separation, there is no distinction between the event and
the consciousness of the event. His consciousness and the consciousness of the event merge. Each one
affects the other. Without the point of view, there is no reason not to be able to modify its event
as easily as he would modify his own personal conscience.
If you were in a quiet and meditative space and introduced the intention of
to further release tension or to be more aware of the need that your partner has to
affection, their intention would affect them, manifesting in their body as relaxation or in their
awareness as sensitivity to the needs of your partner. The "movements" of
intention in their consciousness would lead them to specific effects. In the same way in
the PRESENCE the intention to heal leads to an effect in your event. Letting go of your point of
view, allows this to happen. Leads to the immersion of consciousness in the experience,
or the elimination of the difference or distance between the event and the healer, and this in turn
create the space where consciousness can modify existence. The Fourth Dogma
from the PRESENCE that requires taking a step outside the confines of our

These thoughts are the foundation of our work in PRESENCE. The space

It is a process designed to give us a transcendental awareness where our
attempt can affect the other. It is the vehicle we use to proclaim that
any condition that occurs in our experience is subject to be worked on, that
nothing needs to be rejected. The same principles apply to living a life in peace. For

Beyond dogmas.
Before proceeding, there is one more dogma that you need to know. Later it will be the most
The most important of all. The Fifth Dogma of PRESENCE is: There is no dogma.
As you can see, almost everything we've said so far, and much of what follows, is not
more than a method, a process, that we use to head towards a particular state
of consciousness known as Sacred Space. Once that space is known,
through the practice within the lineage of the PRESENCE, the way we have
arriving there will prove to be an obstacle; just another concept in the way
for an even deeper understanding. The process will have to be left behind, just as
a boat is left on the beach after using it to cross a river. The subsequent progress
surely it would be limited if the boat that was once useful were carried on shoulders
while we continue our journey. In time we will need to leave behind the
dogmas (including the fifth!) after they have taken us as far as possible
possible. Once on the next shore, once we have entered the Sacred Space,
nuestros conceptos dejarán de ayudarnos, y su uso posterior sólo será un obstáculo. En
the moment we begin to have a transcendent direct relationship with the patient,
this system of ours will make no sense. We are using the sensory process only to
that you learn to have that direct relationship. But this overwhelms us. For now,
we need to live certain experiences, and we will use our dogmas and the process
sensory in order to obtain them. Later on, part of what has been learned will be left behind,
it will be a vehicle that will no longer serve.

allowing more and more, and will feel as if the relationship with their client is deeper.
Reduce the sense of differentiation in the relationship and you and your client start to
to feel very integrated. This is the beginning of a sacred relationship.
Recently, I treated Carla, who was experiencing great emotional pain. She had started
telling me how idyllic her childhood had been, how much she had learned from her parents,
how wonderful it had been for his father to die while singing a hymn
religious. This was his myth. His voice was loud, too loud, and his gestures

until bleeding. Among other things, Carla began to remember her childhood memories,
when he had to wait in the car while his father met with his lover.
When I started to treat Carla with PRESENCE, the first moments were
smooth, as its superficial history had been. As soon as I identified in
particular aspects of your condition, everything became very intense. I felt my arm
drowsy and having a headache, as well as other sensations without a specific name. It was
as if I were feeling their pain. I kept the space stable and distributed
equally my awareness of sensations, without focusing on any of them
and releasing the ideas about my experience. I opened my space to more and more sensations, and
while I was doing it, there was a reduction in the pain I felt, even as if the sense of
the distance between us will decrease. I introduced intentions, to balance the
water element (so that their emotions would flow) and to balance the earth element
(so that he could feel the security of it), and as he did all of this, there was an intensity
renewed (see chapter "the elements"). The intention is a direction for a
relationship, a turn within space. It is nothing in reality, just a movement of the
a thought, a quiet word for oneself. The intention is nothing more than a gentle
current in a wide sea. But intention will intensify the relationship.
Allowing everything I felt and opening up even more produced a new flow of energy.
where there had previously been resistance. After some time, I was able to do
some movements (the feeling of this is like changing one's mind
same) and there was a feeling of wholeness.
A minute later, when Carla sat down, she looked visibly changed. She was
calm, her face was relaxed and her voice was soft and full of peace. Her breathing was
slower and deeper, and she talked about the need to be closer to her
real feelings. I hadn't done anything to Carla. Everything I did, I did it inside and
with my own consciousness. I recognized my sensations and kept my awareness of them.
I maintained it and allowed everything that appeared, and I made some movements in the space of
relationship. Working this way from space reduced his pain.
The spaces of PRESENCE are not the same as the space in the drawer of my desk,
to the empty spaces on my computer screen. They are not spaces on the same
sense in which a space of two or three dimensions is an area. A gym is a
space where we can perhaps play basketball, the empty space of a blackboard is
where perhaps we write an equation. There may also be space in my schedule,
a place defined by the dimensions of time, perhaps lasting an hour, a
space where we can meet and go for a walk. Some spaces are defined so much
through space as through time; we will meet for an hour in my office or
I will kayak along the coast of Maine for a month.
But there are also spaces in consciousness; a counselor with great capacity will make a
side all her other concerns when her patient is with her. During the
time spent together, will focus on their client. An artist can lose, during a
time, all the awareness of everything else outside of his painting, or a lover can
to focus entirely on your loved one with nothing else in that particular space of
awareness. This kind of space is not defined by time or space, but by the
attention.
We exist in spaces with specific boundaries of consciousness and these boundaries change.
constantly. It doesn't matter if we are locked in a solitary place, or if we go
suspended planning high above a beautiful landscape without borders, the shape of
the space of our consciousness is determined by what we do with our
consciousness. The exciting part of this is that we always have the capacity to
choose all the dimensions of our space.
The same happens with the sensory space or the Sacred Space of the PRESENCE. No
they are in themselves healers but they are the spaces where healing takes place. To
just as my writing space creates the conditions in which writing occurs, the

dimensions of sacred spaces. They have certain dimensions of which we can
to talk, but we will discover that in many of its dimensions,
we can only talk about what spaces are not. When writing about sacred space

like an archer focusing on his target hidden behind an opaque veil. I can shoot
the arrow in the right direction but the arrow must leave the bow, follow a trajectory
curve through the space between the goalkeeper and the target and penetrate the veil by itself.
You will never 'know' the white until you reach it. There is simply no way to
to improve in that sense, there is no way for the arrow of your consciousness to know the
blank without having lived the experience for itself. Continuing from here in this
an ultimately inaccessible attempt to define the Sacred Space of the PRESENCE,
we need to talk much more about what space is not, than about what it is.
this way, we will use our limited language to try to aim beyond the
language. We will direct our arrow towards a target that is hidden on the other side of a
eschatological veil, a white that will remain forever indescribable.
This Sacred Space of ours is always there and has always been. It has its own
existence. The ability to access the Sacred Space is preserved in the lineage that it
remains intact. Space is an emanation of God, a source of miracles of
healing, a space where all our rules are broken except for the rule of
the intention. In this magical space, intention creates the effect.
The Sacred Space is the particular way in which God manifests in those who practice.
the PRESENCE.
One of the few approaches that can be formulated about Sacred Space is
that one of its parameters is the attempt to heal. But immediately after doing
This approach is necessary to remember what healing is and what it is not.
Healing is not a change that occurs in a body as a result of the application of
an external force. This is what we have called healing or the attempt to heal. Perhaps the
more precise synonyms for healing, as we use the word, are 'peace' and
balance, and our aim is to help restore these states. In doing so we will be able to
see that the body and the mind are capable of freeing themselves from the
disease.
The balance experienced by someone who is physically deteriorating and is on the threshold of
death will be very different from the balance of one who has serious injuries but does not
they threaten your life, or of someone who is devastated by the loss of a loved one. In all
In some cases, the balance could encompass 'entering in peace', but this would have implications.
different for each person involved. The balance for the injured patient may
contain a proper will to counteract the effects of injuries and their
psychological implications, but the balance for the person who is dying must be
primarily a matter of confronting and finally letting go of fears. Whoever has
those who have suffered a loss will find balance in a different way, as they allow it to
let the pain flow in its natural course, unleashed by cultural demands and
relatives of recovering quickly from the process. However, in all cases the
Healing is the release of the conditions that kept the patient in patterns or
harmful trends.
Another parameter of the Sacred Space is that it has no point of view. Again
we talk about what space is not. In normal consciousness, we maintain a point of
view. I have this experience. I look at that. That sound comes from over there. There is always
a belief that I am at the center of my experience and that all events with
Those I relate to are located peripherally. Even the sensation of the

narrowly imagined, with the rest of the cosmos outside of them.
As humans, although we are a part of the whole that we call the universe, we
we perceive ourselves as separate from everything else by barriers of time and space.
We think of ourselves as individuals, in a way separate from others, and this
illusory separation tends to limit us to attending to our personal desires, seeking
our own preferences and avoiding what we fear or what we dislike. We
we limit ourselves to a few situations that please us and a few people with

self-imposed and having the willingness to embrace the whole of our experience: to put an end to
the subject-object barrier, to penetrate the illusory divisions we impose on the universe, and
reorganize to see that the subject and the object are one. These boundaries of being

of distance, it is not in the distant corners of the universe, but here in the heartbeat of
a feeling in my chest and in the acceleration of my breath.
Entering the Sacred Space of the PRESENCE requires letting go of our belief about
we as separate subjects from the objects of our experience. Our brain
it works to ensure our survival; that is its job, the imperative
transmitted during eras of evolution. To do its work, the brain receives, stores
and manipulates information in such a way that consciousness conforms as a sense
of being continuously occupied with their own survival. This happens in such a way that
inseparable that we never even suspected the possibility of transcending that consciousness.
But transcendence is precisely what the essence of healing requires.
Sacred Space has no room for separation, for point of view.
In everyday thought, the sense of being would lead us to believe that whoever is aware is
separated from the sensations of which it is aware. In PRESENCE, consciousness
and the feeling, the reality and the experience of it, are one. This leads to
breaking of the illusion of distance, of 'space' in the way that
Traditionally, the word is used. If I am here and the star I look at up high is
over there, then there is a feeling of space between the two. But if I am here and my
the sensation in relation to the star is also here, within this consciousness,
then space or distance seems to have disappeared. In the same way, the
sensation of itching on my forehead and the perception of that itch also occurs
in the same place.
If you hear a sound that is inside your body, you experience a sensation. It's more
easy to see if you can remember a moment when you were startled by a
loud noise. The real experience was a "shock" of feelings that went through
her body. She didn't think: "Oh, a door just slammed behind me." That was the
interpretation of the commotion, from his point of view, and that interpretation took a
fragment of a second after the shock itself. The real experience was the
commotion.
It's a little hard to recognize, but it is no less true that all sounds are experienced from
that way. To investigate this phenomenon, simply close your eyes now and calm down.
his mind. Wait for the sounds to arrive, watch carefully how he experiences them. You will notice
that are not "heard" in their ears or in their brain or in some imagined center of their
consciousness, or what is experienced in a certain way in the adjacent room or wherever it may be
that come; rather, they feel like sensations in your body. One more observation
careful will reveal that the same is true for the other senses, such as sight or
the sense of smell. Therefore, the star is known through the sensations in its body that
they occur when you are in relation to the star. There is no awareness of light photons
injuring your retina, nor is there any real experience of the star "out there".
None of these experiences occur in a consciousness that remains fixed in one place,
neither "out there" nor "in here". Consciousness has no location. It has no
point of view, nor a place to settle and observe the rest of the cosmos. It is everywhere.
parts. There is no distance between you and your experience. In the process of PRESENCE
we include all the sensations that may arise, always expanding our
awareness to include everything that may appear. Since everything is included, there is no
limit for the reach of consciousness. In the Sacred Space, consciousness grows to
include it all. There is no feeling of a separate being. There is only consciousness.
The following parameter or boundary of the Sacred Space is that it is a place without names.
Imagine a door slamming behind you. As we have established, not
know that event as a slamming door but rather as a commotion of
sensations in your body. The real experience is indescribable. There are no words that
you could use that they could transmit to me everything you lived through when it was hit
door. If you say there was a commotion I might think I know what you want
to say, but that is only because I have memory of the events in my own
experiences that were also referred to as shocks. There is no language that I
communicate your exact experience. The names we give to our experience do not
is our very experience. In the Sacred Space, no sensation has a name;
it simply is.
The Sacred Space is also a place without judgments. This may be the border of
most difficult space to preserve. When I feel a series of sensations in my foot at the
what I call 'pain', my experience of it leads me to a nearly simultaneous conclusion of
What is an experience I wish to avoid? When you have a warm feeling in your
skin sitting under the sun, perhaps in the same way and quickly is attracted to
this feeling. But when examining any of these understandable reactions but
liable, we will notice that they tend to take us away from the Sacred Space. Judgment leads us
to the rejection of a part of ourselves or wishing there were more of another aspect of
our being. There can be no peace with attitudes like that. The love for being and the peace that
it implies that they can only be based on the appreciation and complete acceptance of those who

relationship with them. On the other hand, if we do not judge our experience, if we are able
to remain neutral in relation to the reality of which we have discovered we are a part,
we free ourselves from the great cause of suffering in life: the demand that the

exclusive.
In the Sacred Space, there are no distractions. Normally, when we are meditating
by concentrating on something we have the concept that on one hand is the goal of
our meditation or concentration and on the other hand, the distractions: everything that affects us
may move away from the happy completion of the task. We find ourselves 'trying to meditate' or
"trying to concentrate." If we prepare to continuously repeat a mantra, in
silence with each breath, and then we realize that our mind wanders
towards thoughts on what else we need to do, or about the discussion we had
with our companion, we will conceive these thoughts as distractions, the
we will reject for not being relevant to our meditation, and then we will try
let's focus again. If a car alarm could be heard while we meditate,
The trend would be for us to focus on her for at least a moment.
We would experience it as another distraction, another interruption of our process of
meditation. But in the Sacred Space of the PRESENCE there are no distractions. Everything
what appears is included in the same way, whether it's a sensation shock in
relationship with a car alarm, a pain in the foot or a pleasurable feeling of
opening in the heart region.
Perhaps at this moment you have already seen the imperfections in everything I have written about the
nature of the Sacred Space. No matter how well I have done my job, still
I continue trying to define something that is beyond definition. The Sacred Space is a
transcendental space. Everything I have called its borders or parameters are
conditions to help you aim at the target, all those conditions must
discard if you ever expect the arrow of your conscience to penetrate the veil
from the unknown and hit the mark of transcendence. But for now, keep going and
Use these clues and the sensory process to open and 'expand' your internal space. Allow
that the conditions that could limit their space, conditions like judging or
strive, simply be discarded. Allow your sensory space to be more and more
more unlimited. Practicing like this, becoming increasingly skilled at opening up or being stable in the
sensory space, is a way to connect with the lineage of the
PRESENCE. As a side effect of your efforts, you will learn more about how
live in wisdom.
One final question: when the Sacred Space is recognized for the first time, perhaps it
find entering the Sacred Space and passing by and into deep meditation,
but that is not PRESENCE. This Space is for healing, not for improving your
meditations. This is a seva, a service for others, and in this way this
Indefinable space is strictly defined.
Take a break to practice. Set aside all those ideas about nature.
of the Sacred Space. Sit up straight and close your eyes. Allow all sensations
let them appear in your consciousness. Take your time and continuously expand your
awareness allowing more and more. Observe any tendency to discriminate between
your feelings, to feel that some are more appropriate, more desirable or more
important than the others. Note any tendency to narrow your space. Free up
any condition like that and simply allow.
Observe any tendency to observe your sensations, to see them from a point of
separated view. Free that tendency by reducing the sense of distance between you and
your sensations. If there is a noise, allow the sensations related to that noise.
If there is a thought, allow the sensations related to that thought.
Release any sense of self that separates you from your experience. There is no distance;
You and your experience are one. Reduce feelings of differentiation.
Compensate even more. Acknowledge that all your feelings are happening at the same time.
time. Release the concentration on one sensation after another, and feel them as
if they were happening at this moment. Release any sense of
sequence.
Accept that there is nothing to do in this space. There is no need to strive. No
it has will, only the mere intention of being stable in its space. If it discovers that
has begun to concentrate, to make an effort, or to feel separate from your
experience, acknowledge the feelings of that and expand to also allow those
feelings.
If you are with a partner, touch them now, and once again allow
all the sensations that appear in your awareness. Expand to allow each time
more. Include everything that appears, without discrimination.
Continue treating your partner for five or ten more minutes. Do not
just keep steady.
Compensate.
Has a fly ever landed on your face while you were meditating, or has it made a noise?
phone while meditating? There are three ways one can become 'immune' to
these "disturbances". The first is through concentration. If your meditation is
based on the focus of a mantra, its breathing, or any other object of
concentration, could develop your concentration power to the point of noticing a
distraction but in a moment of concentration it would recover. A distraction can
register in a fraction of a second but no more. A small percentage of your
attention could focus on identifying the disturbance ('fly on my face') but its
she would immediately recognize the disturbance as something insignificant and that it does not

Scaring her with the hand would only increase her disturbance. Those who do not have great
experience in concentrating can create a situation where there is only one
persistent thought, like a mantra, or a single object of attention like the
breathing. Without losing focus on the core of meditation, the person can
quickly evaluate any new stimulus and discard it before it can even
seriously disturb the meditative process.

allowing more and more, and will feel as if the relationship with their client is deeper.
Reduce the sense of differentiation in the relationship and you and your client start to
to feel very integrated. This is the beginning of a sacred relationship.
Recently, I treated Carla, who was experiencing great emotional pain. She had started
telling me how idyllic her childhood had been, how much she had learned from her parents,
how wonderful it had been for his father to die while singing a hymn

contraction when entering into a relationship with someone for the first time. It is the impact of that
relationship. Perhaps you also live the experience of feeling nothing, the sensation of nothing
sensation, and it can also recognize that experience.
This sense of shock will be more obvious if, while meditating, a door slams. You will feel
a commotion of sensations and even before her mind rushes to
understand the sound and its meaning. Then their mind will desire to know if this sound is
a signal of danger and what action should be evoked. Then, you will try to interpret
correctly the sound. Is it a door that slammed or perhaps it was a gunshot, or the

with him. The more developed his ability to compensate is, the lesser the
shock and the attention that will be placed on the experience of sound.
In the same way, everything that comes into contact, whether it's a sound, a patient, the
heart or the patient's stomach, or an intention on their part (perhaps to heal the heart
or the patient's stomach), it will produce a shock of sensations in their body. If

Now sit down once more, with calmness and dignity, and with your eyes closed. Breathe in
tune in and start to feel all the sensations in your body. Acknowledge all your
sensations, be aware of them and allow them to happen. Be aware of the
discomfort, from the attraction of gravity, from the sound that passed through it. Be aware of
all those sensations equally, regardless of their intensity or weakness. Put a lot of
attention and let yourself experience the increasingly refined details of the
sensation. Continue to expand to include more. Feel the blood circulating, the
waves of energy in your nerves, and the force of life in every cell. Continue
compensating for their feelings, allowing everything that appears in their
awareness, always without concentrating.
This is compensation, a process of inclusion that allows every sensation without discrimination,
without judging, without analyzing, not even naming the feeling or its source. Practice it once and
again. It is a vital ingredient of the sensory process of PRESENCE. Simply
include in your awareness all the sensations that arise. The opposite of this would be
to assert the discomfort in his leg or the fly on his face as something outside the realm of his
meditation, a distraction from what concerns him at that moment. If he did, he would put
some sensations the label of "good" and others of "bad." This would be like

From the sensations, it begins to feel too intense to ignore it.
So, it will require more effort or adjustment to try to reject or get out of the new
disturbance. The process continues indefinitely and the meditation is never completely what
it could be.
Compensating is the alternative to this frustrating way of 'trying to meditate'. It doesn't matter.
As well as it is compensating, it can probably go further. There are always new ones.
sensations that arise in your consciousness. There are the seemingly empty spaces between
your feelings that contain less prominent sensations. By opening your consciousness
you will discover an elusive quality of experience that is so underestimated, so refined, that
you had not distinguished her before. Allow and feel all this with the same
consideration that the door slams or the fly in your face, no more no less.
There is another related meaning to the word 'compensate'. We also compensate for the
to recognize that all our experiences at this moment are happening at the same
time. This is sufficiently logical, but it is not the conventional way of observing
our own experience. What is most common is that our minds focus
a moment in a little experience after another. Still sitting in
meditation, I could notice the itch in my eyelid, then notice my breathing, then
the eyelid again, then my breath and the mantra at the same time, then a
thought about the workshop I scheduled, then I return to the breathing for a
moment, first noticing the sensation of my rib cage expanding, then how
I lift my shoulders, then my belly changing rhythmically. Then I return from
new to the mantra, and I notice a sound in the adjacent room. In all of this, there is a great
sense of sequence, one event followed by another.
But that is not the case. It is more accurate to acknowledge that breathing, the itch and the
sound is happening at the same moment and that the sensations you experience in
relationship with each one is there at the same time, whether they have recognized them or not
your conscious mind. Compensation occurs when we allow all the
sensations that occur now, at this moment. It is the ability to allow that to
recognize all sensations once and for all. If all the sensations of this
moments happen now, and in fact this is how it happens, then the only way to allow

more. This creates the illusion of time or sequence and makes it impossible for us to experience vastness
of reality at this moment.
Now close your eyes, get in tune, and open the sensory space. Compensate your
sensations and then choose a sensation that causes you moderate discomfort.
Continue allowing and balancing your feelings while remaining aware of
the feeling of discomfort. After a while, the feeling will begin to fade away

If I see the weather with negative feelings, I limit myself. I cling to certain conditions and
these lead me to constriction, tension, and bad mood. I have meanings that I give
to the snow and to the low gray clouds. I resist my experience in complex ways.
This resistance is a condition that applies to my experience. In the relationship that
I watch the scene outside my window, there are conditions, and my experience is
fairly realistically predetermined. My conditions do not allow me to have a
totally new experience. The experience of this moment. I am living my
past instead of the present set before me, and there can be nothing new in it,
no revelation, no delight, and ultimately no healing. The past
is dead, frozen in time and consciousness, and cannot be a source of
transcendence.
If my reactions are more positive, if I see the snow and begin to anticipate
excited the fun and joy of playing in that beautiful white dust, my state of
the spirit will be different, perhaps more desirable. But in terms of resilience to this moment
the problem is the same, I am still limited. Again there is a condition in me
awareness, a pattern of thought and a series of positive feelings that limit
my relationship with what exists here and now, precisely in the same way that
I was limited by negative feelings.
At first, when I see the snow, there are prerequisites and concentration, a

In this exercise of the sensory process, you are first aware of everything that
It happens inside you. Then open the space of relationship with the client and enter into
awareness of everything that happens in this relationship. Some things appear as
resistance. They are those in which their consciousness tries to concentrate. And this is how
resistance occurs in you. Your mind tries to cling to something. At that moment, you
must maintain awareness of everything else, but recognize that this point is
generating resistance. So, let that happen to you. When you allow it, the
resistance tends to disappear or weaken. The result is that in their consciousness they will have
a greater and more intense perception of the relationship. It will know the relationship of the same
an intense way in which I could know the breathing of her lungs. A resolution
how this of all conditions and resistances allows to intensify the relationship and the
consciousness becomes transcendent.
Releasing the conditions that arise is not part of the PRESENCE. It is only part of the

When we are healing with PRESENCE, the sensations are like snowflakes.
snow: countless little pieces of sensation. We focus on some of the
most difficult sensations, sensations of discomfort or delight, like in the ball of
snow. This is what we call resistance. Resistance is not so much about wishing that
the feelings of joy or discomfort fade away; it is more about resisting the flow of the
experience, the awareness of each moment equally, each sensation. It is not
necessarily a resistance that arises from negativity, anger, or fear; it can be
much more subtle than that. This resistance can arise from distraction or interest or
fascination. A certain sensation stands out among the thousands of sensations and captures
our attention; or perhaps our mind extends and reaches a tiny part of the
experience. In any case, our mind clings to that feeling, and that means
that we only live that sensation or that small group of related sensations
during the moment of attachment. We ignore everything else. If you do not reduce your
resistance, its conditions in the relationship, there will not be enough space for it to live a
deeper experience.
With an even more refined awareness, you will be able to notice sensations in response to the
infinitely varied crystalline structure of each snowflake. As one gains more and more awareness,
will recognize more of the exquisite beauty of all reality, more of the exhibition
spectrum of the energies of the universe, more than what has remained hidden by its
resistance. And the most important thing for your purposes as a healer will be aware of
the entire wealth of the space of the relationship between you and your patient.
Specify
Upon specifying (simply affirming in his consciousness that he is doing so) he will feel
once again new sensations. We say that these relate to the system
digestive. There is no need to worry about the cause of the sensations. Will they come
from my patient's stomach? Will they come out of the part of his body where they are
living? Do they come from any other source? Do they have any meaning that needs
interpret themselves? There is no need to concern themselves with these matters, they just need to allow these
sensations and include everything that appears. If while being in relation to the device
digestive, a car passes by your house and the sound of the car evokes a sensation,
also include it. If you feel personal affection for this patient, also include this
sensation. In the PRESENCE there are no distractions, and everything that arises must
to include oneself.
You can specify something that you do not know at all. If you have never seen a liver, and
He doesn't even know what part of the body it's in. It will be much better. Just say it.
"I focus on the liver" and allow everything that manifests. If on the other hand, it is
well informed about the liver, the images and the concepts will be practically
inevitables. If they appear when specifying, allow the sensations that will arise in
relationship with those images and resolve them as the first step in your process of
treatment.
You can reach this point by letting go of the distinction between the colon and its consciousness.
This is also simple, but at first it is not necessarily easy. It requires some
diligent practice so that you are ready to maintain an object in your perception
without feeling what he is observing. Still, this is what he needs to do. Once he
you chose the event 'you will be one' with the event. That phrase has lost its strength due to the
exaggerated use but it is very precise. It will reduce differentiation or the feeling of
distance between you and your event. The subject and the object will merge and perception will be
at the event and you will experience it instead of observing it. Your consciousness and the consciousness of
the patient's colon will be the same. Both appear at the same time and in the same
preconceptual space. It's as if their consciousness were in the colon.
When this state of awareness is applied in your healing, you will be very precise and your
the event experience will be very deep and intense. It will recognize the trends of
event and will know how to modify them. You will have a perception of the event, whether it is an organ or the
the patient's whole being. Or even their own being. In a moment like that, there is no
duality. He does not see a stomach nor think of a spleen. There is no witness watching the patient.
Rather, the event appears in their perception as their experience. Perhaps there is still
judgments about the event, but they appear just like their own stomach, spleen or
estado de ánimo. Es como si usted tuviese otro estómago pero que sabe que no es suyo.
Your rational mind will be questioning all of this, rebelling against the possibility of
to know what cannot be seen, tasted, touched, smelled, or heard. But for you it is
easy to live it. It should not be overly eager either. If you try too hard
effort, in some way trying to force the experience, pressuring oneself towards a
the concept of what the experience should be, will feel frustrated. Instead, make sure
after practicing the basics. Spend time daily on the exercises that
they appear in this work. Learn to allow and to compensate, learn to specify and to
introduce the intention, and then, little by little, release your proposals, your concepts and
your prejudices. This will not pose any problem either. Everything you need to do

When you personalize, you will tend to imagine the event as something separate from you.
It will take some time to remain stable in the space between you and your patient.

pleasant, interesting, and useful to have this new sense, which will increase
immensely its service capacity.
My patient Anne is a twin. Apparently, her mother resented all the work that
it involved caring for two newborn babies and was not very fond of Anne and her

Anne has another interesting pattern. As a child, the lack of loving care from her
mother somehow balanced it with the occasional visits from her sister

deep and lasting with older women. This also represents a trend, the
the way a behavior (to form a loving relationship) occurs in response
to a stimulus (the presence of a caring older woman). Anne's attraction has
remained very strong for four decades. It is clear that not all patterns or
trends are harmful.
Anne shows how guidelines and trends work. Almost everyone has trends like this.
ways in which patterned behaviors are repeated, even when sometimes they are not

Years later, I have a slight problem in my hip.
Certainly these examples are not unique. They all have trends: Usual ways
to respond to specific stimuli. Not all trends are harmful or
limiting, but they can become so, especially if the trend has as
consequence the tension in the body or in the mind. Every time it happens, every time that
the difficult sensation is not addressed or released, every time pain, fear, sadness,
guilt or any other difficult feeling is contained in the body or in the mind, there is
tension and potential damage, due to a limitation of awareness and spontaneity, or due to
disease.
This practice session has introduced several new elements with which you

You have to do it. In each session, you will digest more and more, slowly releasing the client from

Your patient may have a tendency to worry. The tension from that worry
it could have led him to furrow his brow and clench his jaw. This will be part of
how the patient physically manifests their pattern. Their job is to help them
release the worry. Enter the sacred space. Let your awareness be
transcendent. Everything that happens in the relationship between you and the patient will manifest.
in some way. If you want to relieve the tension in your forehead, you will move your awareness through
from the complex of sensations that come from this event called the glabella, and you
it will release the resistance it encounters. This may need to be repeated over and over again, but
Over time, the tendency to contract will disappear. After that, perhaps it will work with the
jaw, and finally with the most basic tendency to worry. In some cases,
clearly, the disease does not disappear; it is too advanced or the patient is not
still capable of changing to that extent. But, in any case, a good part of the
tension around the trend and the disease can be released and the sessions of
individual healing will feel completed.
A common trend among healers is that they become empathetic. The healer tends to
to live the sensation of the patient by being a mirror of them. It is easy to do, but it is not
desirable. Often a beginner healer will treat a patient with a pain of
head and he will end that pain himself. It is simple to avoid this kind of issues.
Instead of trying to live what the patient experiences, let your attempt be to reduce the
differentiation or the distance between you and your patient. By doing so, you will be releasing the
conditions and the tendency to feel empathy.
Please acknowledge that many of these trends and conditions are inevitable. Be
whatever her spiritual or emotional state may be, she will end up creating them. No matter what she does,
it will have some resistances in its own experience. But we can turn them into a
advantage. We can work with them, and then they stop being a problem, and become part of
our process. We allow them. We recognize that they are happening, that they are the
shock and we play with the shock as the method to enter the state without
differentiation, without trends. This will allow us to see without filters,
transcending everyday consciousness, and healing with our presence. The
the consequences are enormous.
to know
One of our objectives in the PRESENCE is the direct knowledge of the event.
So far we have mainly been occupied with the recognition of our
sensations in relation to an event and working with those sensations. But we can
go beyond. We can know an event in itself, directly, in the same way
clarity that we know our sensations. It's not that the observer knows the
subject, but knowledge without distinction between subject and object, between the knower and the
known. The knowledge of this kind is sacred and is necessary if we want to
consider our system complete. This is the experience of the Sacred Space.
In the realm of intuition, the first experience is knowledge. Intuition is not
a matter of gathering information and bringing it together to draw a conclusion. It is
just the opposite. With intuition you start with the conclusion and then, if
needs to communicate, even within its own mind, the conclusion receives a
message from the intellect to form a model, so that the statement can refer to
to your experience. You have experience in the intuition space and, if you need
translate themselves, if for example a diagnosis is required, we rely on the 'process
"intelligent" to put the conclusion into words.
In the beginning, we didn't worry too much about this with the PRESENCE. We can
function without diagnostics, which would not be possible in many forms of healing. In the
allopathic medicine would be completely unacceptable. In medicine, a diagnosis
It should always be extended before starting the treatment. Sometimes it is not possible.
to know what disease it is and the patient is treated according to their symptoms, especially if
there is a need for emergency measures; but in general, a diagnosis is given. With the
PRESENCE is different because we are simply relating to our
sensations, and if the sensations are resolved, we know that the trends have been
modified appropriately and the treatment ended.
Many of those who come to learn about the state of PRESENCE as students,
they have a very analytical intelligence. People from the West tend to think in a
form of linear sequences of cause and effect when trying to understand the
disease and bring healing. Certainly, that is the case with allopathic medicine and
also a good part of psychological healing, even psychic and energetic. The way
thought is something like the following: since (A) has occurred in this person, the
the result has been (B). If we want to get rid of problem (B) we need to alter the
condition through the application of a force (C). But in the PRESENCE our
thought is very different. We work with synthetic intelligence, more than with
analysis. This kind of intelligence works more with relationships than with cause and the
effect. Yes, when using a synthetic intelligence, if you wish to talk about a heron on the riverbank,
I should talk not about an isolated creature, but about the river and the forest, the relationships.
among all the other animals, plants, bacteria, and molds in the heron ecosystem,
and so on. The synthesis of all relationships is the most authentic image of the
heron. Without synthesis and relationships, it would actually be impossible to describe the bird. Without the

flow of experience and therefore a moment of unknowing. When you
says that he is reading, the statement appears in consciousness as a concept and a
resistance. When we experience something, we tend to overlay our concepts onto it, and
those concepts are felt in the sensory space as resistance. When you experience the
resistance, then knows what it does not know; you know that, instead of knowing, in the
place of a pure and direct experience of reality, you live a concept. When
live something, tends to place its assumptions on what it is experiencing, and that is what
you feel in the sensory space.
With your partner, tune in, open your space, compensate and
so I focused on the stomach. I immediately noticed how I would think about the
stomach: where do you see it, how far does it seem to be from you, what is it like, and so on
successively. These are all of their concepts. Their job is to recognize what
feel to have these concepts, recognize the concepts themselves, and free them. Feel your
sensations in relation to each concept. Allow these sensations as long as

your stomach will have broken and you will be much closer to a direct experience with
the awareness of the stomach.
If you want to learn to diagnose, if you want to exercise your intuition, you need to try not to

Your experience will be direct and you will simply know the awareness of the stomach.

to say to oneself.
Diagnosis
So far I have used the word 'resistance' to refer to all the resistance that
I can experience during the healing, and I have not differentiated the possible sources of
resistance. If you were working with your sister as a patient, and she
If you were to experience tension in the neck, you would live the resistance to the particularization about your
cuello. En nuestro trabajo, hasta ahora, el proceso lo llevaría a solamente liberar la
resistance that lived, without thinking of its source. But in that case there would be no way to
to know if the resistance was in you or in your sister's neck. It would have reached this
session with many preconceptions about her sister. You have shared a good part
From her personal history, he has clear images of her in his mind, he knows her well.
It is also possible that you have positive and negative feelings about your
sister, and opinions regarding the source of her tension. All these preconceptions or
concepts about her, and many more as well, will produce resistance. Again
"resistance" does not refer to his personal opinions about his sister, but to the
more subtle blockages to her full experience of reality at this moment.
Some of those blockages, or resistances, may come from their opinions, but others
they come from nothing more insidious than the idea of their physical position in relation to you
according to the treaty.
The resistance that appears in your sensory space could also come from the neck of your
sister. If you have managed to reduce the resistances that are due to your own
preconceptions, what I would then experience as resistance would be the result of its
awareness of the experience of the awareness of your neck. This would represent a
important cornerstone in your evolution as a healer. If you can differentiate between the
resistance that comes from its concepts and the resistance in the event is approaching
diagnosis. Please understand that this does not mean that you will be able to say: 'This
the patient has pneumonia caused by staphylococci," or "The cause of his hepatitis is a
immune deficiency due to...". That kind of diagnosis requires knowledge
doctor that you may not have. That diagnosis that essentially names the disease,
an important step for good medical treatment, but it is not a vital element in the
PRESENCE.
On the other hand, if you are a healer of the PRESENCE and you are also a doctor or have
any other medical preparation, perhaps it will recognize, for example, through the
particularization of a patient's liver, a disturbance in the metabolism of the
bilirubin. If you do not have a background like that, your experience in the liver will be more
like a 'congestion'. So much depends on your background, on what else you know.
The problem arises when we reach the liver with our intact conceptions.
So we will be examining it from the outside, from a point of view. After that
we will try to interpret what we live, to give it a name. If a doctor
experienced in the PRESENCE will work in the liver, would have none.
interpretation of your experience in that. Perhaps you feel the congestion and 'know' that it
needs more water. You will be able to introduce an intention to increase the water element in the
liver and finish its treatment, without even considering the name of what it was
trying. On the other hand, one could intuitively or rationally recognize the disorder
metabolic, address it with PRESENCE, and then conduct tests and apply
standardized medical treatments already established. Similarly, an herbalist
who is treating the same patient could "know" that the patient needs an infusion.
of dandelion to strengthen the functioning of your liver. But the knowledge
In the PRESENCE, the diagnosis as we use the term, is simply there.
It does not need to be deduced from the evidence. While your analytical or rational mind might
to toy with a proposition like this is perfectly legitimate for the intuitive mind,
that synthesizes.
Consider your real experience with this. If you are a parent, you know if your child or
The daughter is sad. There is an instant recognition of that. She doesn't need to reflect on
the meaning of the signs and symptoms of sadness, nor analyze them psychologically
causes of sadness. He won't even think about being sad, but immediately, without
thinking about it, he will take his son or daughter and give them a kiss. In other words, he has been in the
sensory space in relation to your child; has experienced resistance in him or her, has
diagnosed, and in this case, he has treated it without any internal dialogue.
In the case of a treatment, imagine that you have already specified your patient's liver.
Do you have any idea or image of where the liver is or what it looks like? These are its concepts and
they will generate resistance to a deeper experience. When you personalize in a
Event like the liver, note all the assumptions it has regarding it. Where does it
imagine that it is, what shape do you see it, what color or size is it? Acknowledge that it has all
those concepts and what each one produces in them sensations. Allow these sensations,
continue compensating your space, and each resistance will be resolved. What will remain is
the experience of the liver. What remains, after having resolved its own
resistance due to its concerns, it is the experience of the awareness of the event.
It's as if I were looking at a boat anchored far from the shore in a dense fog.
The boat is there but the vision he has of it is dark.
Let's practice going through your resistances, as previously described, and learn to stay in control.
completely stable, not to make any movement in its consciousness. This is a step
towards greater effectiveness. By maintaining stability in one's consciousness and knowing the
event awareness, you will know exactly where it is possible to modify or release
the conditions at the event. He/She will know what is needed and will make the specific move.
that causes the appropriate change. For example: if I were working on the jaw
of your client, would open the space, would quickly release their own resistances (which may
they come from their visualization of the jaw) and would live the awareness of the jaw.
It would remain stable and study the jaw. Perhaps it would find a line of
contraction that goes from the right masseter muscle downwards in the direction of the
left sternocleidomastoid muscle in his neck (although he may not know the
names of those structures). Then I would study more and discover that a release
In the area of the fourth vertebra, it would help. This way, I would release it and study a little more, a
stimulation, that is required under the tongue. That movement, that stimulation, could
complete the treatment. The entire process could take just a minute.
What has happened? Perhaps an analogy will help us. If I am meditating, I will know, without
think about it, the experience on my shoulder. If I notice a feeling of discomfort there, I can
allow the feeling or I can recognize that a slight change in my posture will release the
pressure. Once this change has been made, my conscience shows a greater tendency in my
back, and another movement, maybe a relaxation that will modify it. All of that could
happen in just a few seconds. There is nothing more mysterious about it. We do it
all the time, although we are not usually aware of what we do for it perhaps
let's be ineffective in our movements.
This is a good analogy for the healing process when in the Space.
Sacred. You "know" the necessary movement and "know" when the process is finished.
But the movements in the PRESENCE do not need to be physical and are generally,
In fact, movements in consciousness. What is known may perhaps not be explainable.
in words; and, most interestingly, the event is not our own shoulder but that of another
persona. Pero la analogía es correcta a pesar de estas diferencias. Cuando usted está en
the Sacred Space, consciousness in its event is as real as consciousness in its
own shoulder.
In the process of diagnosis and treatment, you seek the vital point in the relationship, that
part that can move with the result that everything can be balanced. Your
experience produces in you a type of image of the event, not a visual image,
but a synthetic impression, not analytical, of their experience. In that image or impression
you will know what the vital point is and how the event can be modified in the best way
efficient.
To achieve that, study, identify and release your propositions or concepts, so that
that can learn the difference between its own resistances and the resistances that
generate the same event. Do it and you will reach a state of knowledge. Then,
find the vital point and make the appropriate movements to release the conditions
at the event. I recognize that this might be getting a little dark and beyond
your current capacity. If you find it difficult to follow the text, it may imply that it is already time,
again, to stop reading and practice more. These teachings need to be absorbed
slowly over time.
THE ELEMENTS
We have talked about healing as a balance, but one might ask: 'Balance?'
About what? You can think in terms of psychological balance and imagine someone.
who healed by freeing himself from neurosis or irrational fear or desire. Or perhaps
recognize the need for physical balance, a state of vibrant good health that is
based on exercise, flexibility, a healthy diet, and restorative sleep. Or such
do you understand healing as a spiritual balance in which you are able to
recognize and serve the divinity in everything, while maintaining a neutral mental state. And
There is another way to conceive of balance, in terms of the first-order system of
the "elements": earth, fire, air, and ether.
These elements represent five qualities of the body and mind, which need
to be in balance if we wish to know peace in living and dying. You can work
with these elements in their practice of PRESENCE. The process in its most
simple consists of opening the sensory space, focusing on an event, and then
maintain the intention that one or the other element comes into balance in the event. To
doing it will feel new sensations in relation to that intention. Allow these
sensations until the resistances that were generated have been resolved. This is so
just an extension of what has been practiced so far and should not represent a large
challenge.
Later on, you will know more about which element to balance and whether it needs to be increased or
reduce, but at first just choose one element and hold the mere intention that
the element is in equilibrium with the event. This will prevent any side effects
negative. For example: if a patient were very angry (an irritable quality)
you would only need to have the intention for the fire element to be balanced, without having

maintain an intention to reduce the fire element or the value of increasing it
water element as an antidote against so much fire; but, in the beginning, stay only
with balancing the elements and there is no way to make a mistake. It can also have the
the intention that one of the elements, in turn, balances itself. This will be very effective in
comparison with only balancing the elements that require it. Nonetheless, to
start practicing with the elements, perhaps this is what feels most secure for
you.
But, he is starting to work with the elements, so make sure to study the
depth the effect of your intention. Note how your movements in consciousness
are affecting the event. This way, you will feel more confident in your practice and will be
more efficient.
Earth
The earth is the element of our roots, our support: solid, strong, still and
fundamental. This is the principle, the foundation, of all that is material. As an element of
support, the earth relates to our bones and joints, our feet, our
legs and the sciatic nerve. The earth element is the element of the first Chakra, or the
energy center, located in the perineum and the coccyx at the base of the spinal column.
Red, the color of the slowest vibration, is the color of the earth element. The earth is
solid and condensed, and the way we live the earth is through its support and
through gravity.
Take the time now to be aware of your sensations when relating to the
earth. Sit firm and solidly. Close your eyes, attune yourself, and open the space
sensory. Begin to become aware of the various sensations in your body. Without
do not comment, notice all your sensations. Be aware of the sensations more
evident: the points where there is discomfort, the pressure of their legs against their seat,
the effects of the sounds that pass through you. Note with the same awareness
the subtlest sensations: the feeling of air passing through your nostrils
and by its skin, and the palpitation of a muscle as it relaxes or tenses. Note similarly
way the sensations even more delicate, like the energies that cannot
to be called and that are hidden in each fabric. Go to the spaces between these
sensations and distinguish even more. But balance your attention so that each
sensation receives the same attention as all the others, regardless of its
intensity. Acknowledge that all the sensations of this moment are happening at
same time and that there is no sequence of one sensation and then another, and then
another. Do all this without doing anything, releasing all effort and all concentration. Not
let no feeling spread and seize its interest. In this way, position yourself
in the sensory space of PRESENCE.
Spend time practicing this. Study for yourself the experience of your relationship with
the earth. Later it will be able to modify the space of the relationship between you and your
patient by modifying the earth element in that relationship. For now, only
experience the ever-changing kaleidoscope of sensations in relation to the earth.
I have given some indications about what the feelings might be in relation to the
land, but I don't want him to explore this or any other element with notions
preconceived. When working with a client, for the entire process of PRESENCE
The main thing is to be objective. If you are looking for a particular feeling and, for example
try to distinguish the heaviness of the earth, it will be resisting the flow of its experience
real. So, even when I take some time to stabilize myself to the effects of the
gravity of the earth or to reach an awareness of the nature of another element, the

elements in its constitution. Put them into practice, read about them, and think about them,
but then let go of all the ideas you have about them. Perhaps the feelings that
have when you introduce an intention to balance the earth element in a patient,
whether they are of lightness or warmth. It will be necessary for you to recognize these sensations and that
it allows with such ease as a deep feeling of attraction allows
gravity.
Enter an intention
When you have finished meditating on the earth, notice how you feel. Observe the
effect of having been aware of the element earth. Perhaps hoping to have a
a feeling of having foundations, of relaxation and security, an intensified sense of being
and identity. But let your study be objective, without even having these
expectations. As a deeper exercise, this time with a partner, open up
new the sensory space. As always, tune in and then stabilize your
space through the compensation of their sensations. After touching the arm of their
partner, allow all the sensations of the new relationship and compensate again.
Do not concentrate; allow everything equally and continue treating your partner during
a few more minutes. Afterwards, release within the space of the relationship the
intention that the earth element will balance in its counterpart.
The insertion of an intention into the relational space is a delicate process. With a
calm internal voice, affirm your intention in simple terms. Real words do not
they are needed, but they are not an obstacle for the process. The intention is a
thought, a purpose, a goal; but it is neither an effort nor an action of any kind
type. It is an exquisite, refined matter, never energetic or laborious. To put a
intention in a relationship is as soft as if a piece of soft eraser were in the
palm of her hand and you will blow on it and let it float in the space around it. A
once the intention is there, it needs to be maintained, but that is equally a matter
smooth.
Gently cast that kind of intention. Have the intention that the earth element
it will balance itself and then withdraw its own will from the image and live all the
sensations that arise. As always, allow the new sensations, compensate them and
continue being aware of all other sensations equally. Treat your
partner or companion for a few more minutes, or until I have the impression of

Water in balance means that we can be fluid and flexible both in the

moment.

The element of fire gives us the ability to rise above judgment and our attachment to
personal wishes. Fire is the midwife of will, and the offspring of the mind and
the action. When it is in balance, fire does not provide the raw power with which it
it dominates and controls, but rather the power to integrate and create integrity. A dose

of identity in the world. It allows us to use our will to control
consciously the change. This is the power with responsibility, the power to forge
our own circumstances, the power to build a better world. Too much or
very little fire can lead to depression, doubt, anger, ambition, guilt, a feeling of
being a victim, or a thirst for power.
A balance of the fire element manifests as the ability to set goals and
reach them. It will appear as personal energy and motivation levels that are strong but
no maniacs. The balance of fire is expressed in self-confidence, the ability to
make decisions, the ability to inspire others, and the capacity to learn from
everyday life. Physically, imbalances in the fire element can
manifest as ulcers, gallstones, jaundice, hepatitis, diabetes or hypoglycemia,

Ether
This is the element of purification that is related to the fifth chakra, located
in the throat. Ether is the element of communication, the void, dreams and the
transcendence, and going beyond the physical form. It is in the ether where we actually
we communicate, we express ourselves, we connect and we inspire. Ether is the element
of ecstasy. Ether is the medium through which consciousness can expand and through which
everything is connected to everything. The ether is the way we go beyond borders
that apply to the denser elements. This is the realm of pure idea and the
direct knowledge. The ether is related to a much more refined energy than
the one of any of the other elements and it is the element of amorphousness.

in the feeling of emptiness. Acknowledge the feeling of emptiness of the space in which you
sit and allow that feeling to occur in you. Do not visualize the emptiness, but
just recognize it in your feelings. Feel your feelings and then feel
the sensations between the sensations and the sensations among them. Finally, feel the
empty space between sensations. Do the same with your thoughts: be
aware of the spaces between his thoughts. This space is like the void of
outer space: it is vast compared to the relatively small planets and
stars that occupy it. When it stabilizes, lightly touch the arm of your

introduce the intention of balancing the ether element in it. Just like with all the
intentions, study the sensations in relation to it and allow them until you feel
that the treatment is complete.
In general, if you increase the ether element in a patient, they will fall asleep. If they feel

We are looking for a state of neutrality: a state that has been emptied of all the
conditions, and for some this can be frightening. But neutrality is neither the
forgiveness is not the insipid detachment; rather, it is the path towards intense involvement,
and this is very pleasant and most important for our healing purposes.
In addition, it is from that unconditional state of consciousness that they can

a sense of self, from that point of view that we have been mentioning, then only
there will be the trials that accompany it, and in the trial there is no love. Consider this state
without ego that we call love. In it, everything that is present is fully allowed, without
evaluation and without any judgment. Love is not a large amount of affection; it is a state
beyond affection. In the state of love, if there is anything, if it exists, then it is permitted.
Everything that appears in consciousness is included without discrimination, and none is created.
separation. Without borders, there is no place where I should put my defenses and where
I must choose what is allowed to enter and what should be excluded from the consciousness.
Compassion and real love begin with allowing everything that appears in the being. If
somos capaces de conocer y permitir nuestra propia experiencia, entonces, por
extension, we are able to allow anyone or anything that has generated that
experience. That is love. That is absolute compassion. And that is the essence of a
healing presence.
This love is not blind; it is far from it. When it is real we are sensitive, we are
very aware of how a relationship with someone else is affecting our
experience and it is unlikely that we will have to tolerate the unhealthy and the harmful. Someone
sensible will not tolerate its own negative behavior either. Allowing is not synonymous
of consenting. When we allow it, we fully live the experience, without fear or
the desire to filter it. That full experience is precisely what makes us intolerant of
everything that harms us. Our first choice is to heal what is harmful. If that is not

I achieve significant consequences. In essence, in healing or in any other
place, our trends and preconditions are the obstacles to achieving the
transcendence.
It's like being inside the cave, in the dark, unable to perceive everything. Even when
let's come out of the cave and have lived a certain experience of an expanded consciousness,
we still feel the urge to run back, to suffer in the same way, with
the same old concepts, and of organizing our perception of reality
agreement with old prejudices. But there is a way out of all this. You have prejudices
and subtle budgets: that your client is there lying in front of you, that he is at
a certain distance from you, of what you assume I should be thinking about now, or of that
you are the instrument of that. These assumptions are actually subtle and perhaps
have difficulties understanding them as prejudices.
Study this. Try to understand how these beliefs act to limit our
possibilities, how they make you feel a certain way and how those

the concept was still in the dark and there was a blockage in the free flow of the
experience. The concept holds a trend in the relationship and this is a limitation.
You get trapped in the trend and the trend starts to direct the flow of your
awareness. So, to move forward in this work, dedicate yourself to recognizing these

The condition we can allow in our system is that there can be no conditions.
An ironic example of this lies in the fact that we have made use of space
sensorial as a way to reach the Sacred Space, but if we feel that this
sensory space is decisive for healing, so it has become a
condition and in a limiting belief. The sensory process is an excellent
tool and, however, if you have stuck to the process, if your concept of it is
necessary, then it turns out to be nothing useful. The same happens with all concepts like this.
There is a fear of emptiness, understandable but unfounded: that fear that without our
concepts, definitions or points of view would simply disappear. But no.
we need to avoid the void; we just have to discard our fear and our attachment to
the forms we are familiar with. The void is just the lack of budgets,
and there is nothing insecure about it. The state without concepts is merely a state of
Innocence. Without concepts, you will continue to respond to everyone and everything that happens.
in its space: only that it will not respond according to a predefined model. Letting go of the
form is not a problem, but the attachment to form is. Your task now is to
abandon the forms and establish your healing presence by entering the state
transcendent of amorphia.
Now tune in and open your space. Touch your partner and personalize in your
leg. When working with the leg you will see that you may perceive some distance between
you and the leg, or perhaps you have other preconceptions about the leg. Feel
how do you experience these preconceptions, how do they express themselves through your
sensations, and recognize that these feelings are a resistance. Allow that
these sensations occur just like any other sensation would. For example:
note how the distance between you and your leg feels, and accept those sensations as
resistance. Study how the leg feels: the distance, the separation, etc., and try everything
this is like a resistance. Work on it, observe how there is an image of that
separation that occurs in your brain, a feeling of it. Then let it go.
Reduce resistance, reduce the image, and reduce the preconceived notions that limit the
awareness.
Continue doing this in all your practice sessions. Keep trying to recognize
everything that appears in the way to your direct experience of the event. Deal with it
as if it were a resistance, until the relationship is pure and there is no distance at all,
no distinction between you and the experience. Learn to recognize some of your
preconceptions and trends outside of exercises in everyday situations. Set them free
as if I were in a healing session. This will turn out to be quite liberating; a
a place where your service as a healer will be healing for you.
When you release all the conditions regarding your event, the awareness and the
experience can be made one. Note that when you introduce an intention, by
example balance the functioning of the liver, there will be conceptions of 'liver' and
"balance". Acknowledge that resistance and reduce it without fighting against it. Only
reduce it. If you intend to heal, as we always do in the PRESENCE,
recognize your preconceived notions of healing and address them as well. If your aim is to reduce the
tenderness, or increasing the effectiveness of the immune system, those intentions also
they will bring images with them. You will discover the preconceptions in almost everything. Some
these preconceptions are useful in everyday life. Without them, we would have to
examine each small part of the intervention to know what would be important, what
it would be dangerous, what would be interesting, etc. We would probably be crazy from stress and
we would be completely unable to function. But in healing, it is something very
different.
CHAKRAS
A good way to deepen your practice is to work with the chakras. You can
start to understand what the chakras are from one to five based on what
we talk about the elements. Each of the five chakras corresponds to one of the
elements. The first chakra, at the base of the spine in the perineum region,
is related to the earth element. The second chakra, in the region of the organs
sexual, is related to water. The third chakra, at the navel and solar plexus, is

unity with God. It is also the center of thought. Thought is the
first, primordial, perceptible manifestation, but still immeasurable, of the
universal consciousness. The seventh chakra is where we connect with that force, where
we opened to her, and we felt her presence penetrating everything. The activity of this
chakra is meditation, the process through which consciousness knows itself.
Meditation is also the way in which the seventh chakra is developed. When it is
in balance and functioning well, this is the place of knowledge and
understanding at higher levels. When it is unbalanced we could be
close-minded, worried, depressed, and confused. In a malfunction

about chakras can provide great precision to your intention. The same happens with

If you have to work with the chakras, you will need to study the preconceptions you have.

as their resistance to a direct relationship with the chakras. Reduce these resistances, and
then, reduce them even more. Maybe it's easier to practice this with the chakras because
they do not have a real physical presence, like the heart and the brain. The organs are very
easy to imagine, but with the chakras we can recognize more easily than
our images are symbolic. The image of a chakra in the shape of a sphere with rays
of colored light emanating from it, it could be easier to recognize as
preconception that an image of the heart as a red organ full of blood. If
you have already worked a lot with chakras, you may have a certain attachment to their images or to
your feelings towards them. We carry such a large amount of meaningless things in
our mind that we keep trying to apply them to reality.
Study your preconceptions. In relation to the third chakra, for example, what is it
What do you think? Perhaps you think: 'subtle energy that occurs in the solar plexus,' or 'the source
of personal power.” So those concepts are a strong resistance in their relationship.

of the resistance that must be reduced.
To handle this resistance, first become aware of the sensations that arise.
of their preconceptions. Be aware of the trends of your consciousness and then
allow them to happen until you stabilize. Specify the chakra and renounce
all his preconceptions about it. For example: acknowledge your idea of distance
from the chakra and recognize all the information about the chakra that has led to the
relationship. When it is no longer different from the chakra it is working with, it will begin to
experience consciousness in the chakra, and this will allow you to finish the
treatment. Also when you have an understanding of what else you can do, what
other intentions or movements could be introduced.
Once you have had the opportunity to experience the Sacred Space by
yourself, through direct work with Guru Dev or one of the disciples-
masters of PRESENCE begin to practice the direct entry into the Sacred Space.

they will be there, it’s just that the sensory space may have already become a pattern, and not
There may be guidelines. This is the fifth dogma: there are no dogmas. So try to enter into
the Sacred Space without this dogma of sensory space. And you see, if you are
trying to feel the other through their sensory space, it can be difficult to reduce the
differentiation between you and your event.
This may be confusing for you. We previously mentioned that the only thing we know is
our feelings. But what we affirm now is that you can live
directly the event, the third chakra or the tumor of their patient. They can do it by living
the consciousness in the chakra itself or in the tumor itself. It does not live in you, if 'you'
it is defined as an arbitrarily circumscribed region of sensations limited by
on their skin. In reality, the event is experienced in awareness. Their awareness and the awareness that
are happening at the event are the same, and are experienced in the same way. You will be
working and will not know where he is in relation to the event. He won't even know with
accuracy who is sitting or lying down. He will ask his conscience how it is
patient and will live the patient just as he lives himself, or will live the chakra of
heart or the tumor as it lives itself. So its awareness of what
what is happening at the event is a sensory experience, but it comes from the
awareness that the event has of itself. Let's put it another way, by being in the
Sacred Space you are not limited to the awareness of your own sensations, but
What can, when particularizing, become aware of the experience that its event is
living. Their awareness and the awareness of what is happening at their event are
closely intertwined, and you live them in the same way: sensorially, in the
space of the relationship.
Obviously, this is a radical departure from everyday consciousness. It is a consciousness
transcendental, without the known boundaries. The sensory process has brought him to the brink of
experience, but how to jump from that shore is a mystery. I can suggest that you do not
try to jump, for trying will not help. No effort is needed. It's more a matter
from zero effort, more intention, more alert consciousness, more complete ease, more
link with the lineage of the PRESENCE through a master. This is a state of non
duality, a state of emptiness, without identification of being. The problem is that you may
he clung to the joy of the sensory space and still does not wish to renounce it. He has filtered his
experience through the sensory process and now it can be a limitation, as if
it was a requirement. However, beyond this limitation, there is the ability to live the
awareness at the event. So try to identify and release all your concepts: it is
necessary if you wish to transcend.
If you were treating a patient with a headache, you would live the distance between
you and the client's head. You would say that the head is 'over there'. This is a
opportunity because here you can recognize the concept of distance as a resistance,
and can reduce its resistance just like it reduces any other resistance.
You recognize it and allow it until it is resolved. Thus, the head will appear without
distance condition. So, you will see the next resistance, perhaps that you
Consider the head as congested. Consider it a resistance and also release it.
Continue going from one direction to another. You will discover that you actually don't need to let go.
each condition because after a few, the same trend of having these
conditions will break. At that moment, it will live the head in the same way as
live your own conscience, without distinction. It's not about you no longer being able to
distinguish between your head and that of your patient; rather it is more similar to how you
he lives his own head and his own foot at the same time. You know which is which but
consciousness can live in both.
While working on all this you will see that you continue to have feelings and sensations. But
you will also notice that feelings are not the way to know what one knows. They are
there but the knowledge is yours simply because it is in the Sacred Space,
because you exist unconditionally. Before the PRESENCE, all
the experiences he had were compared against his conceptions. If an event affected him
in a particular way, bringing particular sensations, then you interpreted that
event with a certain meaning. Then, at the beginning of his preparation as a healer,
you recognized that all events were expressed in you in a sensitive way. Your
the reaction was likely one of joy and pleasure at the richness of their experience, for
I could feel everything in a new and more sensitive way. Now is the time to move on,
to go even further. It is the time to be even more stable and thus reduce any
differentiation through the method I just described, that of reducing resistance
provoked by preconceptions. If you go through this, you will find knowledge.
He will escape the limitations of his own sensations, he will not be trapped by his
old landmarks, and it will heal because it will know the consciousness in the event and will know
how to modify it.
The task now is just to keep practicing and managing resistance. Managing space.
sensorial como resistencia, manejar sus conceptos como resistencia, manejar su punto
from sight and the idea of distance as resistance. Keep going, freeing all the
concepts, until it is directly related to the event. To be able to affirm
that has already learned PRESENCE, will need to be able to leave behind its space
sensory, let it dissolve. The sensory space is very pleasurable, too much.
Perhaps it is difficult to abandon it. Nonetheless, it is a resistance and needs to be set free.
