(Masid-Danas) How was my experience going through SAS1000 and what were my

observations and self-discoveries?

It was a deeply personal and introspective experience for me. It wasn’t just about learning new
strategies to succeed in life; it was about really getting to know myself on a deeper level. It helped
me uncover things I hadn’t fully acknowledged before. I realized that I’m someone who can strike a
good balance between thinking and taking action, but only when I’m truly focused and taking care of
my well-being. I came to understand just how important self-care and self-appreciation are to my
success. I’ve always had a strong drive for leadership and creativity, but this course made me
confront my tendency toward perfectionism, and the stress that comes with it. This improved
self-awareness helped me see that I can pursue my goals with ambition while also being kinder to
myself, making sure I stay motivated without pushing myself to the point of burnout.

(Suri-Nilay) How do my own knowledge, values, attitudes, and assumptions of past and
present experiences influence the way I feel or act on my career pursuit?

Growing up, I was always focused on academic excellence and felt a strong sense of responsibility,
which fueled my ambition and drive. Leadership and creativity have always been important to me,
and I’ve always valued integrity and hard work. These traits push me to seek out roles that
challenge me intellectually and allow me to make a real impact. But I’ve also carried certain
assumptions—like the belief that success only comes from constant hard work, which often led me
to push myself too hard. I used to be so grade-conscious, always feeling like I had to exceed
expectations to prove myself, whether to others or even to myself. But over the past few years, I’ve
learned some hard but important lessons. I realized that in my intense focus on success, I
overlooked the things that really matter, like relationships and genuine connections. I’ve come to
understand that these hold so much more value than any accolade or paycheck. With this
perspective, I want to approach my career with a healthier balance, where ambition is still important,
but so is compassion—both for others and for myself.

(Taya-Kilos) What would I like to change and improve about myself?

I would like to improve my ability to manage stress and perfectionism. While these traits drive me to
excel, they can also lead to burnout if not managed properly. I want to develop better coping
mechanisms and learn to set realistic expectations for myself, allowing for more flexibility and
self-forgiveness in my pursuit of excellence. Additionally, I would like to become more comfortable
with uncertainty, trusting that I can navigate challenges without always having a clear or perfect
plan.

(Ramdam-Pakiramdam) What are the implications of my actions for my career plans, myself,
and others?
My drive for self-improvement and excellence has always been a strong force in my life, pushing me
to excel in my career and positioning me as someone who is reliable and committed. But I’ve come
to realize that this pressure I put on myself can sometimes take a toll on my mental health, affecting
not just me, but also my relationships and overall well-being. There have been times when I’ve
taken on too much, trying to fill every possible role, only to end up feeling burned out. This not only
derails my own plans but also prevents others from stepping up and contributing. I’ve learned how
important it is to be mindful of this balance. If I can find a way to temper my ambition with self-care,
I’ll be able to maintain long-term success without sacrificing my health or my relationships. It’s about
creating a healthy, supportive environment for myself and for those around me, ensuring that my
actions contribute positively not just to my career, but to the teams and communities I’m part of.
