Overall, it is discernible that the percentage of Asian


populations living in all of the countries, have witnessed, and
will be continue to witness, considerable growth. Notably,
Malaysia is predicted to secure the leading position over the
period shown.

As for Philippines and Malaysia, specifically, the percentage


of residents who lived in Philippines maintained its top
position, while Malaysia trailed behind, making both
countries showing the relatively same figure, at 31% and
30%, respectively in 1970. Subsequently, there was a drastic
climb to approximately 60% after three decades in Malaysia
before being expected to reach a high of roughly 85%,
elevating this nation from second to first place, which
compared to just 50% of inhabitants living in Philippines at
the end of provided time frame.

With regard to the remaining countries, urban residents in


Thailand constituted about 19%, which was just around 7%
higher than Indonesia in the first year. After that, the
percentage of individuals who resided in Thailand remain
stagnant, at roughly 25% from 1990 to 2020 before being
anticipated to experience a remarkable increase to
somewhere in the vicinity of 45%. Meanwhile, the figure for
Indonesia embarked on a significant surge that is predicted
to continue in 2040, increasing to nearly 60%.
