Q1. Tell me about yourself.
A. Thank you for this opportunity. I’m Pushkarr Bedi, I have over 11 years of expertise in KYC,
client onboarding, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, and FIU regulatory reporting. In
these 11 years I have worked with nancial services company, investment banks, and a
technology platform for payment compliance operations.
Most recently, as Compliance Team Coordinator at Airbnb, I led a team to execute enterprise-
wide AML Transaction monitoring, Sanctions Screening & KYC Onboarding. I acted as the
escalation point for high-risk alerts, managed FIU reporting & lings, and acted as a bridge
between stakeholders and analysts. Through projects like Aurora and Gandalf, I reduced false
positives by 65%, and improved audit accuracy by 45% which helped mitigate risk and saved
over $2 million annually in revenue.
Before Airbnb, I worked at Ravya Enterprises for CIBC Bank, Deutsche Bank, and IHS Markit,
where I handled OTC derivative onboarding, sanctions/PEP screening, and risk analysis. Across
these roles, I consistently ensured adherence to global regulatory requirements.
Beyond execution, I’ve also contributed to building compliance culture through designing SOPs,
conducting compliance trainings, and supporting internal & external audits. My ability to combine
regulatory expertise with data-driven solutions with the help of tools like SQL, Power BI, Google
data studio has allowed me to streamline compliance operations and give leadership a real-time
visibility to program performance.
What excites me about Bruc Bond is your mission to simplify corporate banking. I see a strong
alignment between my background in managing Compliance frameworks across jurisdictions and
the responsibility this role carries. I’m con dent I can bring not just compliance knowledge, but
also practical leadership in regulatory communication, risk management, and client due diligence,
which will help strengthen Bruc Bond’s compliance posture in India and internationally.
Q2. Can you walk us through your experience with AML/CFT and compliance frameworks,
especially in relation to RBI and FIU-IND requirements?
A. At Airbnb, we were managing compliance for various risk categories clients across multiple
jurisdictions, including India & Asia Paci c.
My role was to ensure full adherence to RBI, FIU-IND, and FATF standards while leading AML
operations. I implemented enterprise-wide AML, managed STR/SAR reporting & ling, and
established escalation protocols for unusual transactions. I also trained teams on regulatory
updates to ensure consistent compliance. As a result, this helped us reduce regulatory risk
exposure and improved our audit accuracy while ensured timely FIU lings, protecting the
company from any potential nes.
Q3. This role requires reporting suspicious transactions to FIU-IND. Can you give an example of
your experience with regulatory reporting?
A. I would like to answer this using STAR method:
• Situation: A agged transaction pattern was escalated as a “layering activity” case
involving cross-border transfers.
• Task: I had to assess the case, evaluate the analyst ndings and report it to FIU-IND, if
deemed suspicious.
• Action: I conducted my due diligence and investigation to collect supporting evidence
and data, and concluded to report the ndings - the STR for FIU-IND using their reporting portal. I
also documented the case for future reference and team discussion for the weekly connect.
• Result: The timely reporting prevented potential regulatory breaches and safeguarded the
company from any future nes while reinforcing our commitment to our compliance obligations.

Q. How have you contributed to compliance training and awareness in your past roles?
A. As I was part of the pilot batch for the Payment Compliance team, I was actively involved in
helping develop the SOPs for the current and upcoming compliance projects. For eg. When
we initiate the project for Financial Institution Screening post the US Sanctions against
Russian Banks in 2022, I worked closely with Stakeholders, the risk Legal team and design
the Project work ow and SOPs hence I was best equipped to train the entire team on this new
project and post the training we where able to successfully initiate the project at both at
Airbnb Ind and at Vendor sites at Task US & Wipro for FI Screening.
Q. We emphasize ongoing monitoring and client due diligence. How have you managed
onboarding and transaction monitoring?
A. At Airbnb, we handled onboarding for Individuals and Businesses at scale. I was responsible
to lead the team ensuring compliant onboarding and transaction monitoring while mitigating
risk. I ensured that team executed CDD/EDD reviews within agreed SLA and conducted
sanctions and PEP checks to help successfully onboard the clients. In order to achieve the
best results, we partnered with the client success team and technology team to built a
dashboard for realtime visibility Case Volumes, Onboarding Completion, SLA Adherence, AHT,
etc. With the help of this dashboard we were able to analyse the performance of our Program.
Q. Can you share an example of leading a compliance project that improved e ciency or reduced
risk?
A. Sure, allow me answer this using Star Technique:
Situation:
Last year at Airbnb, the Program Manager reached out with an urgent ask — to assess
onboarding quality and risk-rating patterns across multiple regions for our KYC operations. Audit
stakeholders had agged gaps in visibility, and the leadership needed better insights to
understand where compliance bottlenecks were happening.
Task:
My responsibility was to design a solution that could provide both stakeholders and leadership
with real-time visibility into PEP & SIP alerts trends, True & false positives ratios, escalation trends,
and top reasons for alerts creations with regional variance, if any. The goal was to improve audit
readiness and help the business take data-driven approach for identifying bottlenecks.
Action:
I led the initiative end-to-end:
1. Collaborated with compliance stakeholders and audit teams to de ne key metrics
— case volumes, escalation rates, resolution turnaround times, and regional variations.
2. Extracted and analysed raw alert data using SQL, cleaned and structured it in to
built a consolidated master dataset.
3. Developed real-time dashboards in Google Data Studio for stakeholders and audit
team. These included trend lines, stacked bar charts for PEP/SIP outcomes, and regional heat
maps for case creation.
4. Created a stakeholder feedback loop with PMs, legal, and operations managers to
validate the dashboards and re ne lters for audit traceability.
Result:
The dashboards signi cantly improved audit readiness by 45%, enabling internal auditors to
review trends instantly without repeated data requests. They helped leadership prioritise xes for
recurring false positives, and engineering teams were able to adjust tools for future case creation.
Ultimately, this project streamlined compliance work ows, improved decision-making, and gave
the business real-time clarity on where compliance risks were concentrated.
