1. This Question Paper has 5 Sections A, B, C, D and E.
2. Section A has 18 MCQs And 2 Assertion and reasoning Questions carrying
1 mark each.
3. Section B has 5 questions carrying 02 marks each.
4. Section C has 6 questions carrying 03 marks each.
5. Section D has 4 questions carrying 05 marks each.
6. Section E has 3 case based integrated units of assessment (04 marks each)
with sub- parts of the values of 1, 1 and 2 marks each respectively.
7. All Questions are compulsory. However, an internal choice in 2 Questions
of 5 marks, 2 Questions of 3 marks and 2 Questions of 2 marks has been
provided. An internal choice has been provided in the 2 marks questions of
Section E

22.(B) In the given figure AP AB and BQ AB. If OA = 15cm, BO =
12cm and AP = 10cm, then find the length of BQ.

23 Show that the number 5 x 11 x 17 + 3 x 11 is a composite number. 2

24 Prove that the tangents drawn at the ends of a diameter of a circle are 2
parallel.

25 If A and B are acute angles such that sin (A ― B) = 0 and 2cos (A + B) 2


―1= 0, then find angles A and B.

If sin + cos = √3, then find the value of sin .cos

28 The sum of two numbers is 15. If the sum of their reciprocals is 3/10. Find 3

O and another tangent AB with point of contact C intersecting XY at A
and X’Y’ at B, prove that AOB = 90°
31 The length of the minute hand of clock is 14cm. Find the area swept by 3
the minute hand in 5 minutes.

An umbrella has 8 ribs which are equally spaced. Assuming umbrella to
be a flat circle of radius 45cm, find the area between the two consecutive
ribs of the umbrella.

SECTION- D
32 The taxi charges in a city consist of a fixed charge together with the 3
charge for the distance covered. For a distance of 10 km, the charge paid
is ₹ 105 and for a journey of 15 km, the charge paid is ₹ 155. What are
the fixed charges and the charge per km? How much does a person have
to pay for travelling a distance of 25 km?

Draw the graphs of the equations x ― y + 1 = 0 and 3x + 2y ― 12 =0.
Determine the coordinates of the vertices of the triangle formed by these
lines and the x – axis, and shade the triangular region.

34 A straight highway leads to the foot of the tower. A man standing at the 5
top of the tower observes a car at an angle of depression of 30°, which is
approaching the foot of the tower with a uniform speed. Six seconds later,
the angle of depression of the car is found to be 60°. Find the time taken
by the car to reach the foot of the tower from this point.
OR
The shadow of a tower standing on a level ground is found to be 40m
longer when the Sun’s altitude is 30° than when it is 60°. Find the height
of the tower.

35 The median of the following data is 525. Find the values of x and y , if the 5

36 Treasure hunt is an exciting and adventurous game where participants
follows a series of clues/numbers/maps to discover hidden treasures.
Players engaged in a thrilling quest, solving puzzles and riddles to unveil
the location of the coveted prize. While playing a game some clues are
hidden in various spots collectively forming an A.P. If the number on the
nth spot is 20 + 4n, then answer the following question’s to help the
players in spotting the clue :

37 The word circus has the same root as circle. In a closed circular area, various

before the crowd. A circus is cylindrical up to a height of 8m and conical
above it. The diameter of the base is 28m and total height of tent is 18.5
m. Based on the above information, answer the following questions:
