1. Characteristics of Living Things (MRSGREN)

- Movement

- Respiration

- Sensitivity

- Reproduction

2. Cells

- Basic unit of life.

Animal cells: nucleus, membrane, cytoplasm.

Plant cells: plus cell wall, chloroplast, vacuole.

3. Nutrition

Nutrients and functions:

Carbs-energy, Proteins-growth, Fats-energy store, Vitamins, Minerals, Water, Fibre.

Deficiencies: anemia, rickets, scurvy, kwashiorkor.

4. Heat

Conduction, Convection, Radiation.

Expansion when heated.

5. Electricity

Current, voltage, resistance.

Series vs Parallel circuits.


6. Mixtures & Separation

Filtration, evaporation, distillation, chromatography, magnetism.

7. Acids & Bases

Acids pH<7, Bases pH>7, Neutral pH=7.

Indicators: litmus, pH paper.

8. Earth & Environment

Layers: crust, mantle, core.

Rocks: igneous, sedimentary, metamorphic.

Weathering: physical, chemical, biological.

9. Forces

Types: gravity, friction, magnetic, electrostatic, air resistance.

Speed = distance/time.
