0 Assembly Guide
Updated 17/5/2024

PFNerf’s Version, based on

the original by 118 Designs
By ‘based on’, i mean that the majority of the
information is still the original, but some parts
have been changed to reflect updated/improved
hardware/designs.
DON’T RUIN THIS FOR
EVERYONE.
Like any toy blaster this one has the potential to be mistaken for a real firearm
depending on its appearance. This blaster must be printed in bright colors so that it
cannot in ANY circumstances be misconstrued for a deadly weapon. If you fail to
build this blaster responsibly you will jeopardize not only your own life, but also the
future of this hobby.

Step 1a muzzles, go to Step
Front heat-set
1b
Use a soldering iron to
insert the thumb nut into
the front piece
Work slowly and cool the
part with water
immediately after to
ensure the best joint
If you don’t have a
soldering iron you can
heat the insert up over a
flame, just be careful
Step 1b
Front heat-set (extended muzzles)
Insert the plunger rod through the muzzle with the thumbnut
end facing out from the muzzle
Screw the thumbnut fully onto the plunger rod
Push the rod all the way out, so that the thumbnut is furthest
away from the print
Wearing gloves, heat the thumbnut up over a naked flame, and
hold the other end of the rod with a pair of pliers
After 60s of heating, slowly insert the thumbnut into the muzzle,
by using the pliers on the opposite end to pull the rod
Make sure plunger rod is vertically and laterally straight
Cool the part with water immediately after
Step 2
Magnet install

•Use superglue to glue

the magnets into the
front piece. Set them up
as pairs to ensure they
will attract towards each
other when the others
are set in the slide

•After the front piece has

cured, glue the other
magnets into the slide.

PRINTED PARTS
TOGETHER!
Step 3
Insert the sear spring as
shown and slide the 2.5 x
10mm pin through the holes
Line the sear up with the front
and slide the 2.5 x 30mm pin
through the entire assembly,
forcing the 10mm long pin
out
The 10mm long pin is just
used to keep the spring in
place during assembly
Step 4
Frame prep

Printed parts: FRAME,

TRIGGER, GUARD, RELEASE
Hardware: 2.5 x 20mm pin,
2.5 x 12mm pin, 4 x 10mm
pin, release spring, eject
spring, trigger spring,
M2.5x30mm bolt, 1x M2.5
nut
Deburr all parts
Step 5
Magazine release prep

• Ensure that the magazine release

slides smoothly in the slot in the Nut

handle Spring

• Insert the release spring (the

shortest of the springs) into the
slot as shown Bolt

• Add a M2.5 nut to one and and

screw a M2.5 x 20mm bolt through
until it is threaded into the nut and
the spring can be compressed
Step 6
Magazine release installation

• Insert the release into the handle

• Slide the GUARD into the
location forward of the trigger
• Pull outwards on the bolt,
compressing the spring, and pop
the guard into place

Pull on this bolt as

you pop the guard
into place to set the
spring correctly
Step 7
Magazine release finish
Verify that the release
functions smoothly and
springs back into place
Add the 2.5 x 20mm pin
through the hole to secure the
GUARD piece
Unscrew the bolt and leave
the nut & spring captive in the
assembly
Step 8
Barrel prep

Sand the bottom of the barrel slot

(where the overhang occurs while
printing) until the barrel slides in
without too much friction
The fit should be as firm as possible
without damaging the frame or making
the barrel impossible to remove
Remove the barrel by knocking it out
through the back of the frame until
enough is proud to grip it
Step 9
Barrel & trigger installation

Insert the trigger and trigger spring Make sure

the ends of the trigger spring face down towards

Trigger spring with ends
the trigger guard facing the trigger guard
Ensure the trigger slides smoothly and returns

under spring pressure

Step 10
Barrel finish

Insert the barrel until it sits

flush with the rear barrel
stop
Depending on barrel length
+ muzzle combination,
barrel may not be flush with
the frame
Step 11
Mag eject spring prep
Clean up the mag ejection spring
slot if needed. Use a 4mm drill bit
Step 12
Mag eject spring installation

Slide the mag eject spring into the

slot followed by the 4 mm pin
Hold the pin under tension and
slide the 2.5 x 12mm pin into the
hole in the handle to retain the
assembly
Verify that the pin moves and
returns under spring pressure
You can also test the ejection
with a mag
Step 13 Metal PT
Slide prep

Plunger tube

SLIDE

CATCH COVER

Catch springs (identical in length)

#4-40 x 5/16”
Step 14
Slide clean up

• Remove the support structure

from the slide with a sharp blade

• Be sure the highlighted edges

are clean and slightly chamfered
Step 15a
Plunger tube installation
Lube the plunger before or
after insertion
Ensure the inside of your
slide is smooth and without
burrs
Spread the ends of the slide
apart until the plunger tube
can fit through and push it in
Step 15b (Additional for Ziinc only)
Move the PT to the rearmost possible position, and epoxy it to the slide
Alternatively, instead of glue, wrap the PT in duct tape until it friction fits
into the slide, and cannot move back and forth
E-tape is not recommended as it gets nasty over time
Step 16
Catch install

Insert the catch and the 2

springs
Ensure the cut ends of the
springs are facing up
Secure the cover with a #4-
40 x 5/16” bolt. Do not over
tighten
Step 17
Plunger prep

TPU Padding PLUNGER 1/4-20 x 1" Bolt

2x o-rings w 3.3mm bore
Step 18 Assembled
Plunger finish

Press fit the TPU padding into

the plunger face
Thread the plunger core in
the plunger body
Lubricate the O-rings
thoroughly and then add it to
the plunger
Step 19
Plunger assembly

Lubricate the plunger rod

and slide the plunger onto
it
Add the PF25 spring in
Step 20
Rear assembly

Lubricate and add o-rings to

the REAR piece
Attaching this piece to the slide
will require two #4-40 x 1/2” /
M2.5x12mm bolts. Set them in
the piece for now
Step 21a
Final assembly
Slide the plunger assembly into the
plunger tube
Using a standard 13x16mm barrel, of at
least 25cm length, manually prime the
spring in the slide by pushing the plunger
down, with the plunger rod already inside
the plunger
Insert the slide into the frame
Using a hex nut driver (printable one
included in the files), tighten the plunger
rod all the way into the front thumbnut

DO NOT POSITION ANY PART OF YOUR BODY

BEHIND THE SLIDE AFTER PRIMING!!!
Step 21b
Final assembly
Insert the rear turnaround into the plunger
tube and bolt it into place
Lubricate the rails to get the smoothest
motion
Quickly insert a dart and fire the
blaster.
Screw on the front locknut onto the thread
sticking out of the front thumbnut. For
extended muzzles, a long hex nut driver is
available in the fileset
BCAR assembly with flanges right (when
you look down the muzzle), if you’re using a
BCAR muzzle
Step 22
After-assembly tuning

If the blaster is firing by itself

when you push the slide
forward, disassemble the
blaster, and sand down the
trigger ramp slightly, until it
stops slam firing.
Step 23a
Magazine assembly (talon spring)

• Deburr the inside of the magwell

and verify the follower moves
freely, lubricate if needed

• Insert the follower and spring,

then snap the baseplate into
position
• Remove the baseplate by using
a screwdriver or rod to push in
the “wings’ through the slots in
the side of the magazine body
Step 23b
Magazine assembly (drum spring)
Deburr the inside of the magwell and verify the follower moves freely,
lubricate if needed
Insert the drum spring tip into the slot, then put a long allen key/any
jointed/flanged rod through the drum spring loop, and pull it down to
the bottom of the magazine, and set it to one side using the magazine
wall to prevent it from returning up
Seat the drum spring loop into the slot in the base of the follower
Using a screwdriver from the top, carefully align the follower in the
magazine, and slowly let the follower move up
Baseplate step is the same for both magazine types
Step 24
Adjust mag ejection force

Trim this spine down to adjust the

amount of compression the eject spring
undergoes. As printed the magazines
will eject with maximum force.

Shorter = Less Force
