Dear Engr. Deinla

I am writing to express my interest in the position of Project Engineer at Astra Construction and
Development Corporation. I have admired Astra since I was a child, and it has always been a
dream of mine to be part of your esteemed organization. With my recent graduation as a Magna
Cum Laude in Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and my achievement as a Top 7 passer
in the Civil Engineering Licensure Examination, I am confident that my academic background,
practical skills, and dedication to excellence make me a strong candidate for this role. I am eager
to contribute to the company’s innovative projects and uphold the values that inspired me from
the beginning.
In my final year as a civil engineering student, I led a capstone project that involved designing a
four-storey, earthquake-resistant community school using reinforced concrete and sustainable
design principles. The project, awarded “Best Capstone Design” by our faculty panel, sharpened
my ability to integrate technical proficiency with practical design thinking. I also interned at the
Department of Public Works and Highways – Catanduanes District Engineering Office, where I
supported site inspections, quality control, and material monitoring, contributing to a 17%
reduction in project waste. These experiences honed my skills in structural design, site
coordination, and cost-conscious project management—skills that align directly with Astra’s
reputation for delivering efficient and resilient infrastructure.
More than my technical skills, I offer a strong sense of dedication, discipline, and a passion for
meaningful work. I’ve admired Astra’s projects since I was a child, and this lifelong interest has
shaped my desire to contribute to your team. With a mindset rooted in excellence, accountability,
