Autobiography
My name is Shaira Cartagena, and I was born on June 4, 2008. Seventeen
years have passed since that day, and I’ve spent them in the beautiful
barangay of Rosario, Balingasag misamisOriental. This place isn’t just a dot
on the map; it’s the heart of my world.
Growing up here, life was simple. Our days were filled with the warmth of
family, the laughter of friends, and the comforting routines of our small
community. I remember countless afternoons spent playing under the shade
of mango trees, the sweet scent of ripe fruit filling the air. It was in these
moments that I learned the value of friendship, the importance of
community, and the simple joys of life.
My academic journey began at Rosario National High School. It was here that
the world began to open up for me. Each classroom, each teacher, and each
lesson expanded my understanding of what was possible. But it wasn’t just
about textbooks and exams. It was about discovering my passion, my
ambition, and my place in the world.
From a young age, I’ve always admired teachers. Their ability to inspire, to
guide, and to shape young minds is something I find truly remarkable. It’s a
profession that demands patience, understanding, and a genuine love for
learning. And it’s a profession that I aspire to join.
My ambition is to become a teacher
I want to be the person who ignites a spark in a student’s mind, who
encourages them to dream big, and who helps them achieve their full
potential. I believe that education is the key to unlocking a better future, and
I want to be a part of that process.

Travelogue: A Family Trip to Bukidnon – October 16, 2025
My visit to Bukidnon was a dream come true. Many people had told me about
the beauty of Malaybalay, but I had never seen it myself. Now, I was finally
going to experience it.
I gathered my whole family to visit Bukidnon. It was a wonderful morning on
September 21. At 6:00 AM, we started our journey by cab and stopped at
Puerto for breakfast.
We entered Malaybalay around 12:00 PM. The first thing we saw was the
huge Capital Bell of Malaybalay, a beautiful tiered platform with a nice view.
We took lots of pictures and had coffee because it was so cold there. After
those moments, we saw the Malaybalay Cathedral and continued our journey
to see our grandfather and grandmother. We stopped at Don Carlos and
entered at 2:00 AM. It was early in the morning, so we stopped to sleep and
had breakfast at my grandfather and grandmother’s house.
After arriving, we visited our grandparents. Later, we went to the most
popular lake,
Pinamaloy Park. It was an amazing day. We took lots of photos, we eat pizza
and drinks soft drinks, and had moments that truly made me happy. I rode a
bicycle around Lake Pinamaloy, creating so many happy memories. We went
to “Their Place.”
Features Writing: “Earrings” – October 1, 2025
For me, my earrings are the most important thing I own because my mom
and dad gave them to me.
They are also important because my mom specifically gave them to me; she
was the only one who was good to me when I was growing up.
My mom told me the earrings weren’t expensive, but in my heart, they are
special to me My earrings symbolize special moments to me.
Every time I wear them, I remember how my mom gave them to me, with
happiness, laughter, and excitement because I can see how much she loved
me.
And I will never forget that day she gave them to me on my birthday, which
is my special day
Desiderata Reflection – 10/27/2025
This poem was given to us by the time when we exactly needed it. By the
time that I was already losing my motivation and desire in school I had a
hard time understanding every single line in the poem since it uses so many
difficult words but it overall worth understanding. This poem is very
inspirational and motivational especially to the youth that usually go through
different difficulties in life that has taught me to just let Strong on any tough
circumstances that we may overcome through our tries. Promote calm and
silent environment nor, in many forms of fortune that he them influencers.
Focus on just bringing the best in you and don’t compete with anyone other
but yourself. Even how good you think you are, there will always be someone
that will be better than you and in the opposite, lesser than you. Just enjoy
what you have and continue improving yourself.
