The water temperature is considered the most important information for the
management of the Electronic Injection system and for the protection of the engine. An engine

functioning under normal temperature conditions, that is, the sensor informing the unit
From electronic command to the actual temperature condition of the engine, it allows for better

yields (consumption/performance/emission of pollutants) than an engine that is

operating with thermal information outside the range not being compatible with the
engine operating reality at the moment.
Fuel consumption has a direct influence on temperature of
operation of the engine.
The temperature information that is sent to the PLD module, through the sensor, is
inversely proportional to the temperature at which the coolant liquid is found
(water), that is, the higher the temperature, the lower its resistance or how
the lower the temperature, the greater its resistance. This phenomenon occurs due to the action
the NTC thermistor (Negative Temperature Coefficient) which is basically the composition
internal of the water temperature sensor, in which its material undergoes modification in its
structure when applied at different temperatures.

The Intake Air Temperature and Pressure Sensor (combined model) are
two sensors mounted in a single piece, which is installed in the piping of
admission.
The information on the variation in the temperature of the admitted air is important to be able to

to know the density of the admitted air mass, as it may be more compacted or
expanded, depending on the variation of its temperature, for example: Air when it is
Cold, its molecules are more compacted, and when it is hot, they are
molecules are more expanded, thus the mass of air in the same physical space is
larger when the air is cold.
Oxygen is the main element used for combustion to occur.
The percentage of oxygen that is relatively mixed with the air is 21%.
The air temperature sensor is of the NTC type (Negative Temperature Coefficient)

Temperature). The operating principle of this sensor is identical to that of the sensors of
water and fuel temperature, however, its construction is a little different
so that you can better feel the air temperature being taken in by the engine.
As the air passes very quickly through the sensor, it is necessary for the measurement to be fast as well.

The Engine Oil Lubrication Temperature and Pressure Sensor (model

(conjugated), there are two sensors mounted in a single piece, which is installed in the
oil filter.
The lubricant oil temperature sensor informs the PLD module about the
the temperature at which the engine oil is found, this information is checked for
engine protection effect. This sensor is of the NTC type (Negative Temperature Coefficient)

Temperature) and its operating principle is identical to the temperature sensors of the
water and fuel.
The engine oil pressure sensor informs the PLD module of the pressure in the line
of engine lubrication, in which this information is checked for protection purposes
motor and for instrument panel indication.
The internal composition of the oil pressure sensor is a quartz crystal in which
is installed inside it associated with an electronic circuit that has
to vary the electrical voltage (electrical signal) according to the variation of the
pressure in the engine lubrication line in which it is inserted.
When variations occur that exceed the pre-established limits in memory of
PLD module regarding the oil pressure and temperature of the engine is an indication that something

The term used to define the operation of the electronic throttle is
origin in the English language (Pulse Width Modulated) or (PWM), which means modulation by
pulse width. The functional principle of this component is interpreted in terms of
percentage, in which the following calculation is applied: pulse width divided by
distance between each pulse, in seconds multiplied by one hundred (100). This calculation can be
diagnosed with the help of an electronic diagnostic tool.
The electronic component of the accelerator pedal is of dual construction which
