Scene 1 – The Noise of the Nation
(Lights on. Reporters with mics, camera flashes. Background sound of protests — people shouting
“We want justice! We want justice!”)
Reporter 1: Breaking news! Dilli mein gussa abhi bhi jaari hai! Hazaron log candles lekar nikal
aaye hain, justice ke liye!
Reporter 2: Sawal uth raha hai — hamari betiyan kitni safe hain? Kitni Nirbhayaon ke baad system
jaagega?
Narrator: 16 December 2012... ek raat jisne is desh ki rooh hila di. Ek ladki... ek sapna... aur ek
vahshata, jisme insaniyat kho gayi.
Mother: Meri beti galat waqt par galat jagah nahi thi, galat toh wo log the... jinhone insaniyat ka
gala ghoont diya.
Witness: Sharm karo! Hum chillaye, madad maangi — koi nahi rukka! Us raat Dilli so gayi thi.
Narrator: Jab duniya cheekhi, tab uski kahani shuru hui... chalo lautte hain, us raat ki taraf.
Scene 2 – The Bus Incident (Flashback)
(Bus setup — chairs arranged like seats. Nirbhaya and Witness enter laughing.)
Nirbhaya: Movie amazing thi! Finally thoda break mila studies se!
Witness: Haan, chalo ghar chalte hain, already 9 baj gaye hain.
Driver: Palam! Palam! Chalo madam, chadh jao! Last bus hai!
Accused 1: Dekha bhai, dono akeli hain... mauka accha hai.
Accused 2: Aaj maza aayega... sikhaate hain inhe sanskaar.
Nirbhaya: Ye log aise has kyun rahe hain? Mujhe kuch theek nahi lag raha...
Driver: Arre madam, abhi nikal hi rahe hain...
Narrator: Us raat, andhera bus ke bahar nahi, andar tha... unke andar.
Nirbhaya: (screaming) Chhod do mujhe! Please! Mat karo yeh!
Doctor: She’s critical. Multiple injuries. Hum poori koshish karenge, lekin condition serious hai.
Mother: Beti... aankhein kholo... please...
Nirbhaya: Maa... main jeena chahti hoon... main sapne pure karna chahti hoon...
Reporter: Poora desh Nirbhaya ke liye khada hai — candle marches, protests, aansu, aur ek
sawaal... “Kab milega insaaf?”
Scene 2 – The Hospital (Extended Scene)
(Dim lights. Sound of heart monitor. Doctor under spotlight, witness crying quietly.)
Doctor: Main doctor hoon... us raat jab Nirbhaya ko hospital laya gaya tha, maine apni aankhon se
uska dard dekha.
Uska X-ray dekha toh dil kaanp gaya... uske intestine ki walls toot chuki thi, sab kuch andar se
collapse ho gaya tha.
Ek lohe ki rod... uske andar ghusa di gayi thi. Uska sharir bikhar gaya tha, par uski himmat nahi.
Phir bhi woh keh rahi thi — “Mujhe bacha lo…”
Humne apni poori koshish ki, operation ke baad bhi uska jism saath nahi de raha tha.
Lekin kuch zakhm aise hote hain jo dawa se nahi, insaaf se bharte hain.
Us din maine samjha, dard sirf uska nahi tha... poori insaniyat ka tha.
Nirbhaya sirf ek patient nahi thi... woh ek awaaz thi, jo hamesha yaad rahegi.
Witness: Sharm karo! Hum chillaye, madad maangi — koi nahi rukka! Us raat Dilli so gayi thi.
Haan... maine kaha tha, “Chalo jaldi ghar chalte hain, raat ke 9 baj chuke hain.”
Woh madad ke liye cheekh rahi thi... aur koi nahi aaya.
Yeh hamara samuhik paap hai.
Ise sirf ek case mat banne do jise hum yaad rakhein... ise ek sabak banao jise hum jeeyein.
Scene 3 – The Courtroom
Judge: Court is in session. Bring the accused forward.
Accused 1: My Lord, humse galti ho gayi... intention nahi tha.
Accused 2: Sab hume doshi bana rahe hain! Society bhi toh guilty hai!
Judge: Silence! Tumne sirf kanoon nahi toda, tumne insaniyat tod di.
Mother: Tumne meri beti ki zindagi le li apni khushi ke liye... par yaad rakhna, uski aawaaz tumhe
zindagi bhar satayegi.
Witness: Woh madad ke liye chillati rahi... aur koi nahi aaya. Yeh hamara collective sin tha.
Reporter: Aaj poori duniya ki nazar court par hai — kya justice mil payega?
Judge: Yeh court faisla karti hai... sabhi aaropi doshi paaye gaye. Sazaa — maut.
Scene 4 – The Voice Lives On
Nirbhaya: Main mar gayi... par meri aawaaz zinda hai. Main har ladki mein hoon jo sapna dekhti
hai, har maa mein hoon jo darr ke saath bhi apni beti ko padhati hai.
Narrator: Uska sharir mar gaya... par uska hausla amar ho gaya.
Mother: Meri beti Nirbhaya thi... aur har beti Nirbhaya hai.
Reporter: Ek ki kahani, lakhon ki taqat ban gayi.
Judge: Us din justice mila... par safety ki ladai abhi bhi jaari hai.
Witness: Ise sirf ek yaad mat banao... ise ek jeevan ka sabak banao.
All Together: “We are Nirbhaya!”
(Background: Nirbhaya instrumental / silence / National Anthem cue.)
