About Annie:
Our product Annie is the world’s first Braille literacy device through which children can learn to read,
write, and type in Braille on their own. In India, the purchasing power of our typical user is low, therefore
our go-to-market strategy is to connect beneficiaries who can benefit from Annie with donors who have
the money. Consequently, we have two main jobs at hand:
i. Find beneficiaries who would benefit from Annie and generate willingness/enthusiasm to get an Annie
Smart Class of their own. Our typical beneficiaries are special schools, most of whom are in rural areas.
ii. Find donors who can fund these Smart Classes/devices. These could be governments, CSR arms of
organisations, philanthropic networks etc.
We are looking for 3 important skills that an Intern must have as per our present requirements :
1. Street Smartness+Hustler: Annie is the world's first device and has its own niche market. We
need an innovative and out of box thinking Intern who will contribute to the growth of the
company with their ideas and hustle for implementing the project.
2. Communication Skill: It's important for an Intern to have a good grip on communication, it's
okay if he/she does not have fluent spoken language skills.
3. Research skill: As part of the BD team requirements, you will be assisting the team in meetings
and other necessary work, which requires a lot of research

Your Tasks:
A. Create a growth hack to get beneficiaries ‘onboard’ at scale with minimal resources
spent.
For the sake of simplicity, you could take ‘onboarding’ to mean signing a letter of interest (LoI) in setting
up a Braille smart class at the school/non-profit. However, we welcome additional ideas to ‘onboard’ a
beneficiary, as long as the outcome is a clear, tangible show of intent that can be used to convince willing
donors. Typical challenges with such beneficiaries:
1. Rural beneficiaries are difficult to reach via email/LinkedIn/Facebook.
2. An inertia to move to new systems because of comfort with current processes.
3. Teachers may perceive Annie as a threat, not a compliment.
4. Since they’re not used to such a model, the price acts as a deterrent even though they’re not required to
pay for it.
B. Beneficiaries in India have low/no access to funds. We need to secure funds to deploy
Annies in the school.
In light of the above statement make an extensive list of funds that can be utilised to fund our Annie
project.
Example: The Government can utilise the District Mineral Fund for the betterment of locals in mining
areas. The government can use this DMF to help blind students in government schools.
C. Make a video (60 Seconds max) introducing yourself and why you are interested in
