DETAILED GUIDELINES
a) Choose a Topic: Select a topic of your interest.
b) Research: Gather information and sources related to your topic. This might involve reading books, and articles,
conducting interviews, or exploring online resources. Ensure your sources are credible and reliable. Save the links
to add them to your bibliography.
c) Plan Your Project: Create an outline or a project plan. This will help you structure your project and ensure that it
flows logically.
d) Introduction: Start your project with a compelling introduction. Provide context for your topic and clearly state
your objective.
e) Main Body: Organize your project into sections or paragraphs that support your topic. Each section should focus
on a specific aspect or idea related to your topic. Make sure to use evidence and examples to support your points.
f) Citations and References: Properly cite all sources you use within your project and create a reference list or
bibliography at the end.
g) Clarity and Style: Write in a clear and concise manner. Use appropriate academic language and maintain a
consistent writing style.
h) Proofread and Edit: After completing your project, proofread it carefully for errors in grammar, spelling,
punctuation, and structure. Editing is crucial to ensure clarity and coherence.
i) Length: Ensure your project meets the required word or page count.
j) Use Visual Aids (if applicable): If your project allows for visual aids like graphs, images, or charts, ensure they
are properly integrated into the document and labelled appropriately.
k) Conclusion: Summarize your main points and restate your thesis in the conclusion. Conclude with a strong
statement or call to action if applicable.
l) Title Page: Include a title page with your name, the project title, course name, date, and any other required
information.
m) References or Works Cited: Include a separate section for your references, formatted according to the specified
style guide.
n) Originality: Ensure your work is original and properly cited. Avoid plagiarism by crediting sources and using
quotation marks for direct quotes.
o) Enjoy the Process: Approach your project with enthusiasm and a desire to learn. A positive attitude can enhance
the quality of your work.

Then the students will conduct interviews and will frame questions based on the preliminary
research/background.
The students will then write an essay/ write up / report etc. in up to 1000 words on their research.
Later on, there will be a viva on the project.
B) Listen to podcasts/ interviews/radio or TV documentaries on a topic and prepare a report countering or
agreeing with the speakers.
Write a report in 800 - 1000 words. There will be a VIVA on the submitted report.
Students can create their own video/ Audio, after writing a script. Before they decide on a format, the following
elements must be taken into consideration:
Theme/topic of the audio/video. Would the child like to pick a current issue or something artistic like theatre?
What are the elements that need to be a part of the script?
Would the video/audio contain an interview with one or more guests
What would be the duration?
How would they present the script/report to the teacher?
Project-Portfolio/ Project Report -- The Project-Portfolios is a compilation of the work that the students
produce during the process of working on their ALS Project.
The project portfolio may include the following:
1. Cover page, with the title of the project, school details/details of a student
2. Certificate of completion under the guidance of the subject teacher
3. Acknowledgement
4. Index
4. a. Statement of purpose/objectives/goals
4.b. Action plan for the completion of assigned tasks
5. Introduction
6. 800-1000 words essay/Script/Report
7. Materials such as scripts for the theatre/role play, questionnaires for interviews, written
assignments, essays, survey reports and other material evidence of learning progress and
academic accomplishment
8. Inference
9. Student/group reflections
10. List of resources/bibliography
Note: The report can be supported by photographs as evidence.
