Globalization
The globalization process is considered a phenomenon that has changed the way
in which activities are developed in different areas such as society, politics, culture and
economy around the world (Zhaohui y Zhiqiang, 2020). Due to improvements in
communication, transportation and technology, which have increased international
connectivity, this phenomenon has intensified in recent years (Hussein et al., 2025).
Globalization has facilitated international trade, access to information and the cross-
border movement of people, products and services (Ludovic et al., 2022).
One of the main benefits of globalization is economic growth. Many companies
have been able to expand beyond their local markets, generating employment and
increasing competitiveness (Kyove et al., 2021). In addition, consumers have access to a
greater variety of products and services, with more affordable prices due to global
competition (Muhammad, 2024). It has also allowed the dissemination of knowledge
and technologies that benefit various sectors, such as health and education (Azamat,
2023).
Economic growth is one of the main advantages of globalization. Many
companies have been able to grow outside their home markets, creating jobs and
increasing their level of competition (Gengqin et al., 2023). Global competition has also
made many goods and services more accessible to customers at lower costs (Simonov,
2025).
However, globalization brings with it some difficulties. Because certain nations
and social segments have benefited more than others, this leads to greater economic
inequality (Brahim et al., 2022). The need for massive expansion and manufacturing
also has detrimental effects on the environment, including labor exploitation in some
areas (Zahoor et al., 2021).
In conclusion, globalization has many advantages, but also significant
disadvantages. To minimize its drawbacks and optimize its benefits, nations must
cooperate. Sustainable and equitable development for all can only be achieved through
proper regulation and fair international collaboration.
Personal Opinion
In my opinion, globalization is an inevitable process that has both advantages
and disadvantages. It has enabled development and access to new possibilities, but it
has also brought with it inequalities and environmental problems. Governments and
companies must, in my view, implement sensible policies to mitigate its detrimental
effects and promote growth that is both equitable and sustainable. It is crucial to strike
a balance between the benefits of international trade and the protection of the
environment and cultural identities.
