Q 5 Explain the software ? Application software and system software
Ans : Computer software is a gernal terms that describe computer program. Software is
a set of instrucation required by computer to enable you to perform various tasks such as
managing hardware componenets, writing letters and reports and sending e-mail .
software is which we cannot touch when you list to a cd the music store on it the player
using cd-player in the example cd is the hardware and music player on cd as the software
System software
The software that controller the basic operation of various component of the computer is
called the system software. Even when the electricity is supplied to a computer cannot
start without a system software. This software like a desire is not a car we as a user give a
direction to the driving by telling the pace of designation
Example of system software producer, Ms dos windows 98, windows 2000, windows xp

internet there as a wide variety of such software avalable for example you can create and
manage documents by using a world processer maintain household expense by using
spread sheets and writer to friends by using e-mail.
6. Explain the input and output device?
A Computer is an electronics device. which used to perform some tasks according to
the data entered by input device.
Input device
The input devices are used to enter data and information into the computer. Various
input devices are there
Key Board :- It is the most commonly used input device today. It allows us to
enter the data in to computer.
Mouse:- it is a pointing devices . it is use to point & draw things. It consists of a
ball. Which is used to move the pointer of a mouse?

8 Q. Explain about memory ?

Ans there are basically two types of memory are used in computer system
(1) main memory and (2) secondary memory.
main memory:- computer prog. must be in main memory (also called random-access
memory or RAM)to be executed. main memory is the only large storage area (millions to
billions of bytes)that the processor can access directly. it commonly is implemented in a
semiconductor technology called dynamic random-access memory (DRAM), which
forms an array of memory words.
ideally , we want the programs and data to reside in main memory permanently. the
arrangement is not possible for the following two reasons..
1 main memory is usually too small to store all needed programs and data permanently.
2 main memory is a volatile storage device that loses its contents when power is turned
off or otherwise lost.
thus the most computer system provide secondary storage as an extension of main
memory . the main requirement for secondary storage is that it be able to hold large
quantities of data permanently.
the most common secondary storage device is a magnetic disk, which provides storage
for both programs and data
the wide variety of storage system in a computer system can be organized in a hierarchy
according to speed and [Link] higher levels are expensive but they are fast . as we move
down the hierarchy the cost per bit generally decreases whereas the access time generally
increases
9. What is Ms-Dos
Ms-Dos is a disk operating system their are many different commands is dos . each
command perform desired function their are two types of command is dos they are
internal and external command like COPY, DEL, DIR, CD and RD. COPY etc
10. What is director and files
Directory is a called as a folder. It is conation groups of files and other directories. It
contains thousands of files and directory. A directory contained inside another directory
is called a subdirectory of that directory. You can also make your own files with
extensions in it. You can also make (txt.) another more folder in your folder.
Files :-

A files is a collection of information that is a computer user. Files are made up of the file
name and the extension. The slandered dos file name format remains :-
Example :- [Link]
Picture. Pic
Letter. Doc.

a document to multiple recipients by changing the names, address, phone numbers,
2K COMPUTER COACHING CENTRE MOB 99881-69122 ISO 9001-2008 4
or other fields instead of typing the document each time for each recipient.
13.Q:-What is formula bar?
Ans. A toolbar at the top of the Microsoft Excel spreadsheet window that you can use
to enter or copy an existing formula in to cells or charts. It is labeled with function
symbol (fx). By clicking the Formula Bar, or when you type an equal (=) symbol in a
cell, the Formula Bar will activate.
14Q: What is formatting work book ?

with text formatting you can dramatically change the appearance of your document in
word by changing the formatting of your text . These changes may come in the form
of a different font set a larger print size bold or italic characters, and numerous other
options
15 .What Is Conditional Formatting?
Conditional Formatting (CF) is a tool that allows you to apply formats to a cell or range
of cells, and have that formatting change depending on the value of the cell or the value
of a formula. For example, you can have a cell appear bold only when the value of the
cell is greater than 100. When the value of the cell meets the format condition, the
format you select is applied to the cell.
16.Q What is Power-point ?
