Eco-Friendly Can Crusher Design Guide

The document outlines a project to design a portable and user-friendly device for crushing soft drink cans, aimed at promoting recycling. It specifies requirements such as a weight limit of 5 kg, a cost between 80 and 100 SR, and the need for the device to be operated manually without electricity. The design must prioritize safety, stability, and the use of easily obtainable, reusable materials.

Device to crash cans

Problem Formulation:

The goal is to create a simple and effective device that can easily and safely crush
soft drink cans. The main aim is to build a user-friendly system that makes it easier
to reduce the size of cans with little effort, helping with recycling. The device needs
to be portable, simple to build, maintain, and sell to many people, including kids. It
should be made from materials that are easy to get and can be reused, helping to
keep things environmentally friendly. The cost to make it should be between 80 and
100 SR, and the whole device should weigh no more than 5 kg. The design needs to
be easy to use, requiring less than 30 N of force, and it must stay stable without
tipping. For safety and ease of use, the crusher should be small in size, have a
sturdy base, and use strong, durable materials. It will be operated by hand, foot, or
both, without needing any electricity. The final product must be affordable,
lightweight, easy to use, safe, and simple to make, fulfilling the basic needs of users
while being eco-friendly and user-friendly.
