The modal class is the class with the highest frequency. From the given frequency distribution, the class 40–49 has the highest frequency of 12. Therefore, the modal class is 40–49 .

To reflect the triangle across the line x = 2, calculate the distance each point is from x = 2 and place it an equal distance on the opposite side. A(1,2) is 1 unit to the left, so its reflection is (3,2). B(3,5) is 1 unit to the right, so its reflection is (1,5). C(6,2) is 4 units to the right, so its reflection is (-2,2). Hence, the reflected coordinates are A'(3,2), B'(1,5), C'(-2,2).

To simplify the expression 6x^2y / 9xy^2 ÷ (2x / 3y), first simplify 6x^2y / 9xy^2 to get (6/9)(x^2/x)(y/y^2) = (2/3)x/y. Then divide by (2x / 3y) by inverting and multiplying: (2/3)x/y * 3y/2x = 1. Hence, the expression simplifies to 1 .

The formula for compound interest is A = P(1 + r)^n, where P is the principal (50,000), r is the annual interest rate (0.08), and n is the number of years (3). A = 50,000(1 + 0.08)^3 = 50,000(1.259712) = 62,985.60. The interest is 62,985.60 - 50,000 = 12,985.60 .

To confirm it is a right triangle, check if the Pythagorean theorem holds: 6^2 + 8^2 = 10^2, or 36 + 64 = 100. Since this is true, it’s a right triangle. The area is 1/2 * base * height = 1/2 * 6 * 8 = 24 square units .

Using the identity sin^2 x + cos^2 x = 1, substitute sin x = 4/5 to find cos^2 x = 1 - (4/5)^2 = 1 - 16/25 = 9/25. Thus, cos x = √(9/25) = 3/5. Hence, cos x is 3/5 .

First, find the gradient m = (7 - (-1))/(6 - 2) = 2. The equation using point-slope form (y - y1 = m(x - x1)) with point A(2, -1) is y + 1 = 2(x - 2). Simplifying, y = 2x - 5. Set y = 0 to find the x-intercept: 0 = 2x - 5, so x = 2.5. Thus, the x-intercept is 2.5 .

The percentage increase is calculated by finding the difference between the new and the original price, dividing by the original price, and multiplying by 100. Thus, ((207 - 180) / 180) * 100 = 15%. Therefore, the percentage increase is 15% .

The gradient of a line through points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is given by (y2-y1)/(x2-x1). Thus, for points (1, -3) and (5, 9), the gradient is (9 - (-3)) / (5 - 1) = 12/4 = 3. Therefore, the gradient is 3 .

To rationalize 8 / (√5 - 2), multiply the numerator and denominator by the conjugate of the denominator, which is (√5 + 2). This results in (8(√5 + 2)) / ((√5 - 2)(√5 + 2)) = (8√5 + 16) / (5 - 4) = 8√5 + 16. The rationalized form is therefore 8√5 + 16 .
