Definition of Control

 Control is the process of monitoring activities to


ensure that they are being accomplished as planned
and correcting any significant deviations.

 It is process of ensure that the organization is attaining


its objectives.

 It is process of comparing what you planned with


actual performance

Control Process
 It is defined as benchmarks established for use as a
rule or basis of comparison in measuring or judging
capacity, quantity, content, extent, value, quality.
There are two types of standards:
 Input Standards - measures work efforts that go
into a performance task
 Output Standards - measures performance results
in terms of quantity, quality, cost, or time and
behavior.
