Research Question
How have the modern irrigation systems reduced the amount of water available in
Mexico in the past 10 years?
Justify
As a MYP 3 student researching about scientific and technical
innovation in avocado farming in Mexico, My RQ is relevant as it
connects to scientific and technical innovation with the mention of
modern irrigation systems it mentions resource, which is Water, and
time and place by mentioning the time period, which is 3 years and
place which is Mexico. Moreover, it connects directly to the SOI, which
is "Scientific and technological advancements may impact sustainability of Interactions
between people and natural world." By mentioning a scientific and technological
advancement may impact interactions between the farmers and the amount of water
Hence, my RQ is justified and I would like to carry on

For this investigation, I will conduct an online interview with a Mexican
farmer as my primary source. This interview will provide first-hand
information about how modern irrigation systems have affected
the availability of water in Mexico over the past 10 years. It will help answer
my research question by giving a real-life perspective on how farmers
have experienced the impact of irrigation practices on local water resources.
