ABSTRACT
This report summarizes the experience and learning outcomes from a
two-week internship at CRESCO (Nexgen Ventures Pvt. Ltd.), Chennai,
focused on the service and maintenance of Maruti Suzuki cars. The internship
provided practical exposure to vehicle diagnostics, routine servicing, oil and
filter replacement, brake inspection, and customer service processes. Through
this experience, I gained an understanding of the workflow in an automobile
service center, the importance of preventive maintenance, and the professional
ethics required in customer-oriented mechanical service operations. This
internship effectively bridged the gap between academic learning and
real-world application, enhancing both technical and interpersonal skills.

The automotive service industry plays a critical role in
ensuring vehicle reliability,
performance, and safety. My internship at CRESCO
(Nexgen Ventures Pvt. Ltd.), Chennai,
provided a platform to learn practical aspects of automobile
maintenance and service
operations for Maruti Suzuki cars. This internship aimed to
strengthen my technical
knowledge, problem-solving skills, and understanding of
mechanical systems in real-world
automotive applications.

During the internship, I worked under the supervision of experienced technicians and
learned various aspects of Maruti Suzuki car servicing. My role was observational with
limited practical tasks, focusing on understanding workflows, identifying tools, and
assisting in vehicle maintenance operations.

Maruti Suzuki cars, including checking oil, filters, brakes, and coolant levels.
2. *Engine Oil and Filter Replacement:* Learned the proper method for draining old
engine oil, replacing filters, and refilling with recommended grade oil.
3. *Brake System Inspection:* Assisted in checking brake pads, discs, and hydraulic fluid
levels to ensure vehicle safety.
4. *Diagnostic Scanning:* Observed technicians using OBD (On-Board Diagnostic)
scanners to identify faults in engine and electrical systems.
5. *Customer Service Observation:* Understood how job cards are created, service costs

relations. The hands-on and
observational learning experience strengthened my technical
foundation in the automobile
service field.

The two-week internship at CRESCO (Nexgen Ventures
Pvt. Ltd.), Chennai, was a
rewarding experience. It provided me with practical
insights into the automobile service
sector and improved my understanding of Maruti Suzuki
car maintenance procedures.
This exposure bridged the gap between classroom
learning and real-world automotive
practices, preparing me for future roles in the mechanical
and automotive industries.
