set of numbers arranged in a
certain order. Each
number in the number
pattern is called term.
Example:
3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18

Now, let’s determine the missing
term in this number pattern. For
example, what is the missing term
in this number pattern?
2, 4, 6, 8, ? , 12
We have here the 4 steps to find the
missing term/s.
Step 1: FIND THE RULE BEHIND
THE SEQUENCE.
➢ The rule behind the
sequence is a pattern in
getting the next term of
a sequence.
➢ In this case, the rule is
adding two.

Step 2: DETERMINE IF THE
ARRANGEMENT OF NUMBERS
IS DESCENDING OR
ASCENDING.

The arrangement of numbers is

DIFFERENCE BETWEEN

PRESENT TERMS IN THE
