Eligibility Criteria
1. Participation is open to all current students enrolled in BS, MS, and PhD programs.
2. Undergraduate players of batches 2k22, 2k23, 2k24 and 2k25 are eligible to participate.
Students of previous batches are not eligible even if they are repeating any course(s).
3. Postgraduate students of 2k24 and 2k25 batch are eligible.
4. A valid student ID card must be presented before participation in any match. The match
referee will be responsible to ensure that only valid players paraticipate.
5. Each department shall submit the final list of players (attested by the departmental focal
person) before the deadline i.e., 13th Nov, 2025.
6. It is very strongly recommended that a player participates in only one game to avoid
schedule conflicts and ensure fair distribution of players.
Team Formation and Roles
1. Each department shall nominate:
One Team Coordinator (faculty or staff)
One Captain per Team
2. The Team Coordinator shall be responsible for the timely appearance of their teams at the
venue according to the schedule.
3. The departmental coordinator must ensure the teams are formed fairly and with genuine
players from their department.
4. Teams must report 15 minutes before their scheduled match time.

Match Schedule and Conduct
1. Matches for different games will be held simultaneously across various venues.
2. The official schedule will be shared with all departments at least three days prior to the
opening ceremony.
3. Walkover Rule:
If a team fails to appear within 10 minutes of the scheduled start time, the opponent
team will be awarded a walkover.
4. Referee’s / Umpire’s decision will be final and binding on all participants.
5. In case of rain or unavoidable conditions, the schedule may be modified at the discretion of
the Sports Committee.
6. All matches of all games will be played between 8 AM to 4 PM (during office hours)
Equipment and Facilities
1. The Institute will provide the following items only:
Cricket balls
Volleyballs
Footballs
Shuttles (for badminton)
Ping pong balls (for table tennis)
Tug of war rope
2. All personal gear such as bats, rackets, pads, gloves, and uniforms are the responsibility of
players.
3. Teams must appear in their respective uniforms whose colours have already been assigned.
4. Matches for female students will be held in the playground in front of the Girls Hostel.
Discipline and Code of Conduct
1. All participants must exhibit sportsmanship, respect, and discipline during the entire event.
2. Use of offensive language, misbehaviour, or violence of any kind will result in immediate
disqualification and may invite disciplinary action.
3. All disputes will be handled by the Disciplinary Committee, whose decision will be final.
4. Smoking, drug use, or consumption of any prohibited substances within or near the sports
venues is strictly forbidden.
Game Specific Rules
1. All cricket matches shall consist of 5 overs per side. However, the semi-final and final
matches shall comprise 6 overs per side.

2. Each football match shall consist of two halves of 25 minutes each with 10 minutes gap
between the two halves. In case the match ends in a draw, an extra time of 10 minutes shall
be played. If the result still remains inconclusive, the winner shall be decided through
penalty kicks. In the final match, each half will be of 30 minutes each. Each side will
comprise of 11 players.
3. Each volleyball match will be played in three sets with 25 points in each set. The winner will
be decided on the basis of best of three sets. Each side will comprise of 6 players.
4. Each badminton match will be played in three sets, 2 sets will be played by double players
and one set by singles. The winner will be decided on best of three basis.
5. Table tennis matches shall be played in the singles category only. Each match will comprise
five sets, with each set played to 11 points. The winner shall be determined on a best-of-five
sets basis
6. There will be 8 players per side for tug-of-war matches
Safety and Medical Arrangements
1. A first aid counter will be available at the main ground throughout the Gala.
2. In case of injury, players must inform the referee immediately.
3. Teams are advised to conduct warm-up exercises before matches to prevent injuries.
4. Players must wear appropriate shoes and sports attire for safety reasons.
