Title: Certificate Generator using MATLAB

ABSTRACT
The Certificate Generator project is developed using MATLAB to automate the process of generating
participation or achievement certificates for events, workshops, conferences, or academic purposes. In
conventional practice, certificates are designed manually, which is time-consuming and prone to
human error, especially when handling a large number of participants. This project eliminates manual
effort by reading participant details (such as name, event name, and date) from an Excel sheet and
placing them automatically onto a predefined certificate template image.

The system uses MATLAB’s Image Processing Toolbox to load the certificate template, insert text at
predefined positions using font formatting, and save each certificate as an image or PDF. A loop
structure ensures that certificates are generated one-by-one for all participants in the dataset. The final
output includes individually named certificate files that are ready for distribution.

This project provides a fast, accurate, and automated solution suitable for institutions and organizers
who need to generate certificates in bulk.
