I. Objectives

At the end of the lesson, the pupils should be able to:

1. Define comparing sets.


2. Participate actively in comparing sets through guided activities.
3. Arrange sets and determine which has more, less, or equal objects.

C. Abstraction (Third A)
- Comparing sets means looking at
two or more groups of objects
and finding out which group has a
greater number (more), which
has a fewer number (less), or if
they have the same number
(equal) of objects.

- When we compare sets, we count


the objects in each group and
then decide:

- If one set has more objects, it


means it has a larger quantity.

- If one set has less objects, it


means it has a smaller quantity.

- If both sets have the same


number of objects, they are
equal.
- Example,

- Set B (🖊️🖊️🖊️)

- Set A has more pens than


Set B.”
- Set A has more than Set B.”

D. Application (Fourth A)
