Among the mechanical machines I use, the lathe is my favorite.

The lathe is used to shape


and grind metal blocks. This is a very familiar machine for engineers like us.

There are four steps to operate a lathe. But before starting, you should wear protective
clothing to protect yourself from metal shavings.

 Step 1: To operate the lathe, first you need to choose the appropriate cutting tool
and safely install it in the tool holder.
 Step 2: Next, you should clamp the workpiece tightly to the spindle, ensuring that
the workpiece is accurately aligned with the cutting tool.
 Step 3: Then, you can start the lathe and adjust the speed to suit the material you
are working with.
 Step 4: To create the desired shape, you must move the cutting tool along the
workpiece using the cross slide and feed screw.
