Pre-operating expenses such as registration fees and initial setup costs can significantly impact a startup business's financial planning and cash flow management. Proper management of these expenses ensures that the business is adequately prepared for operations without financial strain. In the case of the Entrepreneur Week project, efficient management of a total project cost of 800 pesos, which included no pre-operating expenses, allowed the team to focus resources on materials and production, thereby enhancing operational effectiveness and business success .

Bookkeeping and financial documentation were pivotal to the business's success during Entrepreneur Week. Accurate record-keeping allowed the participants to track their financial performance, understand profit margins, and manage inventory effectively. Preparation of income statements and balance sheets enabled better financial analysis and planning, which were crucial in ensuring the business's profitability and operational efficiency .

The equity-debt structure, featuring total reliance on equity and absence of debt in MRJ’s Banana Bite, contributed positively to financial resilience. This structure reduced risk from financial leverage, allowing flexibility in financial management and shielding the business from interest and repayment obligations. Such an approach helps small startups preserve capital for operational and growth purposes, enhancing their financial sustainability .

The financial performance for each day of the Entrepreneur Week was analyzed using daily profit and loss statements. On Day 1, sales were 1,325 pesos with a net profit of 525 pesos. Day 2 showed a slight decrease in sales to 1,240 pesos and a lower net profit of 440 pesos. Day 3 was the most successful, with sales reaching 1,586 pesos and a net profit of 786 pesos. Day 4's sales were 1,567 pesos with a net profit of 767 pesos. This analysis indicates a consistent gross profit with slight fluctuations in sales and profit, primarily driven by different material costs and sales performance .

The student presentation rubric at Bani National High School emphasizes several evaluation criteria for business projects: content understanding, preparedness, effective use of visuals, clarity in diction, posture and eye contact, and passion in delivery. These criteria highlight the school's focus on comprehensive subject knowledge, clear communication, and engaging presentation skills as essential components for evaluating student projects' success and learning outcomes .

Effective cost management of raw materials was a crucial determinant of the business's profitability during the event. Keeping the cost of goods sold consistent at 800 pesos daily allowed the business to maintain a stable gross profit margin. Despite fluctuations in daily sales, consistent raw material costs helped stabilize overall financial performance, demonstrating the vital role of cost control in achieving and sustaining profitability .

The strategy of incurring zero marketing expenses directly impacted the business's profitability by minimizing costs and maximizing net profit. The participants relied on other forms of marketing, like product trials and word-of-mouth, which were cost-effective and led to meeting their sales targets. This strategy demonstrated that effective marketing does not always require substantial financial investment and that creative, low-cost marketing can substantially impact financial outcomes positively .

The buyer feedback collected during the exit interviews was significant as it provided insights into customer satisfaction and areas for improvement. Positive comments highlighted the taste and quality of the products, while constructive feedback pointed out issues such as excessive sweetness. This feedback helped in refining the product and marketing strategy and understanding customer behavior, preferences, and expectations, which are crucial for future business enhancements .

The successful implementation of the business plan during Entrepreneur Week at Bani National High School was largely due to effective marketing strategies that aligned well with projected sales targets. These strategies included encouraging customer tasting and expanding the knowledge and ideas of team members to make the business successful. Despite facing unexpected problems, adjustments were made that contributed to meeting sales goals, indicating a good response to customer behavior and strategic marketing .

Participants faced unexpected budget challenges on the first day and had issues with preparation time, sales projections, and time management that sometimes caused customer delays. These challenges were handled by making immediate fixes and adjustments. The experience taught them the importance of better financial planning, effective time management, and preparing for various possibilities in future business endeavors .
