Upload your complete source code to GitHub by creating a repository titled:
Algonive_Project_Name.
Upon project completion, share an update on LinkedIn that includes a video
explanation of your work along with the link to the corresponding GitHub
repository.
Weekly tasks will be assigned and must be completed within the given
timeframe. Submission is to be made through the official submission form.
For each domain, two tasks will be provided. You are required to complete
atleast one task relevant to your selected domain.

TASK - 1
BASIC EMPLOYEE SHIFT MANAGER
A simplified web-based tool to help small teams track and
manage work shifts.
Key Features:
• User Management: Employees can register and log in.
• Shift Creation: Admins can assign shifts with start/end times.
• Shift View: Employees can see their upcoming schedules.
• Basic Notifications: Simple alerts for shift changes.
• Database Storage: Store user details and shifts in MySQL
TASK - 2
FILE SIZE CALCULATOR FOR DOCUMENTS
Develop a Java-based application that allows users to upload a
document (such as .txt or .pdf) and calculates its file size, word
count, and character count. It can be built using Swing, making it
a great beginner-friendly project with real-world applications.
Key Features:
• File Selection: Users can upload a text document from their system.
• Word & Character Count: Automatically count words and characters
inside the document.
• File Size Calculation: Display the actual file size in KB or MB.
• Simple UI: Use Java Swing for an intuitive graphical interface.
• Basic Statistics: Show additional details like longest word or
average word length.
