A) Personalized PLAB Timeline
3rd Year (Current):
- Build UK-style clinical thinking.
- Light PLABable questions, GeekyMedics, Zero to Finals.
- No pressure, just familiarity.
Final Year:
- IELTS/OET (4–6 weeks).
- EPIC verification parallel.
- Dedicated PLAB 1 prep (4–5 months).
- Take PLAB 1 near end of final year.
Internship:
- Prepare and take PLAB 2 in Manchester.
- Apply for GMC Registration.
- Start NHS job applications.
Post-Internship:
- Move to UK.
- Begin as FY2/SHO level doctor.
- Salary: £2300–£3200/month take-home, more with locums.
B) PLAB 1 Study Plan

- Zero to Finals (quick concepts).

Weightage by System:
- Medicine: 40%
- Surgery: 15%
- OB-GYN: 12%
- Pediatrics: 10%
- Psychiatry: 8%
- Ethics & Communication: 15%
Weekly Routine (while in 3rd Year):
Mon: Cardio Qs (1.5 hrs)
Tue: Respiratory Qs (1.5 hrs)
Wed: Endocrine Qs (1.5 hrs)
Thu: Surgery/Abdomen Qs (1.5 hrs)
Fri: Psych + Ethics (1 hr)
Sat: Revise bookmarked/week’s notes (2 hrs)
Sun: Mini-Mock ~100 Qs (2–3 hrs)
Key Strategy:
- Consistency > Intensity.
- After every 200 Qs, revise mistakes and reasoning.
