This picture showcases bath spring
Barbados which is a natural
waterfall flowing from the lower
course of joe’s river to the ocean at
bath. This waterfall is one of the
very scarce waterfalls in Barbados
as our island doesn’t have many
rivers. The waterfall was formed by
the erosive force of water from
Joe’s River over a natural formation
of rocks. This waterfall has some
resistant rock at the top but with
the help of man, a pipe was placed
to help it to flow easier. At the base
of the waterfall, a plunge pool is
seen which was formed by the
gravitational force of the water.
However, the water was quite dirty
due to sediments and soils going
through the process of solution and
abrasion. To conclude the waterfall
at Bath, Barbados is a rare and
beautiful tourist attraction that was
formed many years ago by one of
Joe’s rivers’ tributies.
