Page 1: Introduction to Trees

Trees are one of the most important parts of nature. They give us air to breathe, shade to rest
under, and food to eat. A tree is a tall plant with a trunk, branches, and leaves. Trees make the
Earth a beautiful and healthy place to live.
Page 2: Importance of Trees

Trees are very important for our life and our planet. They clean the air by taking in carbon dioxide
and giving out oxygen. They help to keep the weather cool and provide homes for many birds and
animals. Without trees, life on Earth would be very difficult.
Page 3: Types of Trees

There are many types of trees around the world. Some common trees are mango, neem, banyan,
oak, pine, and coconut trees. Some trees stay green all year, called evergreen trees, while others
lose their leaves in some seasons, called deciduous trees.
Page 4: Parts of a Tree

A tree has many parts such as roots, trunk, branches, leaves, flowers, and fruits. Roots hold the
tree in the soil and take water and nutrients. The trunk carries food and water. Branches spread out
and hold the leaves that make food for the tree.
Page 5: How Trees Grow

Trees grow from seeds. When a seed gets water, air, and sunlight, it starts to grow roots and a
small stem. Slowly, the stem grows taller and becomes a young plant. As it grows, it becomes a big
tree with strong roots and branches.
Page 6: Uses of Trees

Trees are very useful to humans and animals. They give us fruits, vegetables, wood, paper, rubber,
and medicines. They also give shade and make the air fresh. Many animals live in trees and get
their food from them.
Page 7: Trees and the Environment

Trees help to keep the environment clean and safe. They stop soil erosion, control floods, and give
us rain. They also absorb harmful gases and make the planet cooler. Planting more trees helps
fight global warming.

Many animals depend on trees for food and shelter. Birds build their nests in trees. Monkeys and
squirrels live and play on trees. In forests, trees provide homes to lions, tigers, elephants, and many
other animals.
Page 9: Cutting and Saving Trees

Today, many trees are being cut down for land and wood. This is called deforestation. It is very
harmful to nature. We should stop cutting trees and plant more instead. Saving trees is saving life.
Page 10: How We Can Help Trees

We can help trees by planting more, watering them regularly, and protecting them from being cut.
We should also tell others about the importance of trees. Every person should plant at least one
tree.
Page 11: Conclusion

Trees are our best friends. They help us in many ways and make our planet green and beautiful.
We must take care of them and protect them for our future generations. Let us all promise to plant
and protect trees to make the Earth a better place to live.
